What is the most scummiest job a person can have?

Not every professor but seen lots of under handed shit go on around getting tenure.
I'd believe it, not that I know what you're even referring to. I just never got along with most of my teachers at the college level. They'd be threatened for whatever reason by me, an older student who had real opinions. That was exhausting doing work either my best or more than enough and getting my grades fucked with, I had to give it up.

As far as tenure, ya, that shit is tired, these guys are fucking obsessed with it and if they don't get it they take it out on everyone around them.

Most of all, many of those profs, i just couldn't figure out what the hell they even did, they'd lecture but they had a small coterie of asshole TA's who if you had the misfortune to have to deal with them, they are even more craven in their pursuit of power and they also assigned ridiculous workloads. Little assholes and bitches, take it out on the undergrads because they are getting worked over, it was weird.

Some of the profs I liked and some I didn't and some that I didn't like had some amazing qualities but they were still small minded. I had one who was killing my grades, last class of my degree and I was beaten into submission by that point, I just accepted a 2.00 or whatever the fuck it was he gave me. Do not believe it when they tell you they want your best work or your own ideas and opinions, they hate that shit. Anyway, I heard he was denied tenure, i don't know why but I could imagine with his contentious attitude he was making the wrong enemies, he was actually quite a good teacher as far as his knowledge and thouroughness. He seemed the type to love arguing with anyone, he was a former cop believe it or not and was canned from that, probably for the same reasons, just too radical or just too non-conforming. That's not a bad quality in itself but that's a lonely road as I'm sure he learned.

Media twats that only push out articles and headlines with the goal of creating fear, anger and chaos in society.
that really is what they do best and we're dumb enough to eat it right up.

Janitor at Adult Video Booths.
hey, I got that one first, only it was where there are real girls +booths. I'd suppose those places have lost most of their business these days though, I wouldn't know, I haven't been to one of those in ohhh, over 15 years.

Also since this is the Mayberry…you can add fluffer to the list…

I feel ya. Most of my professors were shit and the two that really clicked with me made an impact. Modern education is broken though and it makes for a shit situation for both teachers and the students in the end. Good teachers are rarely given the chance to do their best work and it's mostly just politics shaping the way. Which means the vultures usually rise to the top.

-Lazy/uncaring public servant of any kind. It's not a scummy job position, but it's eroding an important service.
-Marketers who obscure which products are good for what. Especially for medical stuff.
-Journos who write BS articles, purposely misleading others, in ways that cause people to harm themselves (eg dodgy diets) or cause unwarranted division
-Anyone who helps people follow the letter of important laws, while obviously avoiding the spirit/objective of it

Defence attorney is not scummy (tho I get why people think it is), unless you believe everyone is maximally guilty when accused, with no need for a trial to decide guilt or decide the level of mitigating or aggravating circumstances. The court system needs a prosecution and defence to function properly. It's like if you want to make a decision - you need to weigh the pros and cons fully, not be biased and only consider one side properly. Or if we want to negotiate a fair price on a car - it's only going to come close to a fair price if both sides advocate for their side properly. It's only scummy if they're actually dishonest about evidence, but that's more a problem with the system than the lawyer - if I know the other side could be dishonest, I might be dishonest too, so that I don't lose to their cheating. The system should make sure there's minimal room for dishonesty on either side - both prosecution and defence.
Why don't you think a prosecution is scummy? Prosecutors can go after innocent people with shoddy evidence, or can be representing the powerful against the vulnerable (eg big companies going after small companies to annihilate them with crap cases that the small company can't afford to fight, dodgy landlords going after tenants who don't know their rights properly or aren't in a position to fight the case properly).

As someone who recently bought a mattress, matress salesman have to be up there.

I see the problem here... you bought a mattress from a matress salesman.

Realtors get alot less hate then they should

I think a lot of it has to do with lack of barrier to entry and then brokers/owners just having a ton on staff as it is no skin off their back. Basically you have several agents who only sell a few a year to friends or out of referrals and they have no clue what they are doing. Brokers/owners allow it because they'll get their piece. It should dilute their brand, but every other agency is doing the same thing. It doesn't help that the industry markets as "earn extra income on your own schedule". Do you really want some part time douche handling arguably the most important purchase of your life? Then you couple that with internet lenders and you have a recipe for absolute disaster.

did anyone mention used car dealers or car dealers?
