Great question but it's probably because vampires are a cooler concept in general. Immortal undead creatures with super strength who drink blood and only come out at night? Come on, there's all kinds of badass shit you can do with that. Werewolves are basically just regular dudes with back hair who turn into wolves during a full moon. Whoopty fucking doo, that's just Barf from Spaceballs.
Dracula could turn into a dog, interesting that as far as I know, no one has really explored/developed this ability in film.Yep. Not saying it can't be done, just that there's less to go on. Vampires are glamourous and kind of metro so there's all kinds of social/romantic complexity you can portray in a movie. With werewolves it's hairy dude who turns into a wolf, so you're pretty much limited to comedy or straight up horror. Agree there could be more of the latter.

You're looking for The Vampire Lovers from 1970If these titles aren’t smut i think everyone missed the point. Big tittied Goth Bitches with sharp teeth
Bram Stokers Dracula is brilliant in every way (apart from Keanu’s accent )Bram Stoker’s gets bonus points for prime Winona Ryder in a see-though nightgown.
Gotta be From dusk till dawn. 1996. Right?
From the typical gangsta flick to the absolute chaos with the vampires. This is the GOAT. And George Clooneys best performance.
The Last Voyage is def In the running, personally it’s my favorite. Not as epic as Lost Boys but I like a darker serious tone in these movies .Ever: The Lost Boys
1980s: Fright Night (sequel was good also)
1990s: Interview with a vampire
2000s: 30 days of night
2010s: Let Me In
2020s: ? The Last Voyage of the Demeter.

It’s how Nosferatu will try and be fir the masses like the remake of Salems Lott tried to be imop a disaster. Hope I’m wrong though a really great one is Blood Red Sky it’s a vampire action movie on Netflix really intense , the worst vampire movie is Ankle Biters , midget vampires I used to make everyone watch it .
I suggest you do the same only to people you want to punish .
It’s good if you didn’t see the original, but even then it’s a cliche film that looks rushed . I saw the original on T.V and even then it’s just a solid story and eerie movie fir PG that th3 remake just doesn’t match . It’s a good movie I won’t knock it but fir me I won’t watch it again,I would definitely watch watch the originals more bc it has more replay value even if it’s draw out more .Ahh, so another poster told me the Salems Lot remake remake was awesome. Are you saying it's not?
Never saw that one or the 1930s one.Nosferatu. 1979
Thanks for answering. That's disappointing, Salem's Lot is one of my very favorite books of all time. Definitely my favorite vampire story by a long shot. It’s good if you didn’t see the original, but even then it’s a cliche film that looks rushed . Salems Lott remake is way down on the list though fir me it didn’t do the original Justice good actors couldn’t save the movie though thee dialogue is even just typical Hollywood stuff I won’t go into spoilers bc the ending also doesn’t make much sense .
I mean there’s way to much gimmicks in here like lighting crosses that disintegrate vampires etc ..this stuff just would never happen .
It’s worth a watch at least once it deserves that but fir me it wasn’t as good as the expectations I had ,I set high ones though but still it seemed shallow to gimmicky and made for the current generation who like gimmicky films , a little kid turned vampire killer also is silly that kid would hide under his bed for days if he saw a real vampire leave his window not read a comic book under the covers how to kill them enthusiastically this is just a big no no fir me personally .Thanks for answering. I was lucky to read it first under strangely similar circumstances; it was the same time of year as in the story, I was working to clean this creepy ass house out of books (it was basically full) and it was in the exact same area. House in Falmouth and I drive the back roads to Windham around sunset (basically, the fictional town exists right there.) And then reading on a windy fall night once I get home. It was spooky, this is like 23 years agoIt’s good if you didn’t see the original, but even then it’s a cliche film that looks rushed . It sounds like you prefer the book as well??It’s worth a watch at least once it deserves that but fir me it wasn’t as good as the expectations I had ,I set high ones though but still it seemed shallow to gimmicky and made for the current generation who like gimmicky films , a little kid turned vampire killer also is silly that kid would hide under his bed for days if he saw a real vampire leave his window not read a comic book under the covers how to kill them enthusiastically this is just a big no no fir me personally .
I’ve never read the book I’m not a book guy admittedly , I know books are usually better though without crazy people in the studio ruining the movie . I read biographies mostly serial killers .It sounds like you prefer the book as well??
