what is best running shoes?

I am a Brooks fan.

Glycerin shoes are really nice. You just have to wait for a sale.
$160 is alot of money.

Go to a store that measures your feet and records you running on a treadmill and stuff (I think Dick's does this by appointment). I've used New Balance for years, never paying more than $150 MSRP.
The latest Nike Revolution model for $60 or whatever at Kohls is probably good enough if you just run a few miles on a treadmill every week though.

Really depends on your needs. Vomeros are quite popular for serious runners.

I've used Saucony Guides for about a decade now. Highly recommend them for consistent runners that aren't doing serious training and just want a reliable, comfortable shoe that isn't too expensive.

Once you found the brand and model that works for you, better stock up before they stopped production or they update. Unless the guide model hasn't changed that much with every iteration.
