What if Conor beats Nate? Nate will demand 3rd fight for sure

Of course there will be a third fight McGregor-Diaz 3 at MSG sounds pretty damn good to me.
If McGregor could somehow pull the win off against Nate then a third would be fantastic and a huge money maker for both. But this is a long way off and there are fights McGregor needs to have before that.

if nate loses, he doesn't deserve a rematch because the first will have been a mistake.

essentially nate will get RNC'd by conor and nate diaz fanboys will be on suicide watch

they way they are about money I wouldn't be suprised If nate and conor aren't planning on fixing the fight to set up a 3rd payday

I don't think he has other fights because I don't think he has any interest in fighting at 45 ever again.

Anticipation of rematches is usually boring but the anticipation of a trilogy fight ends up being exciting.

Maybe Conor saw Diaz as the perfect rival threw the first fight knowing he was going up weight it would be as good an excuse as any to take a L. Then build up a rematch which can make even more money then whoop Diaz. Ufc sells. First fight under new owners none other than the trilogy fight of Mcgregor Diaz and it now with all the news and drama makes the biggest numbers by a mile in MMA.

Well, it's true. If Conor wins, it would probably be by knockout, rather than decision.

Conor is far more likely to crack the Diaz chin, than he is to match the Diaz cardio.

And a submission seems almost off the table. (unless he severely rocks Nate first)

IDK I think a decision via leg kicks seems more likely, with him dropping a couple rounds

It's hard to play that Condit/Diaz game when you are at a height & reach disadvantage. If Conor becomes predictable with legkicks, he will start eating straight crosses from Nate, which is the counter. Not a good trade.

It's also a very dangerous strategy to suddenly change your whole style, and try it for the first time against a top fighter like Nate.

Conor is a finisher, that's just his style. It's what brought him this far and made him a champion. There's only so much he can change. I think he will not be so desperate in the rematch, because that was never part of his style either; I think Conor will pick his shots more, mind his pacing more, but he will mostly play the same game. And it will either work, or he will go out on his shield again.

Has anyone else thought about this and broken it down in their heads?

If Conor were to win especially by a close 5 round decision, we all know how the Diaz brothers operate and act. Nate will go crazy saying he is the better fighter. He will refuse to fight anyone else, and will demand to fight Conor again. He will likely look for Conor at every event and try to start hallway brawls every chance he can.

Would the UFC cave and allow a 3rd fight to happen? It isn't out of the question. It would be one of those 1-1 fights where a 3rd fight would determine the winner. Lol! Sounds crazy, but we all know the UFC would possibly do this all because the first two match ups made a ton of money even though any Conor match up will gross that kind of cash.

People act like like Nate has never lost. He can be beat. Many have beaten him. Even against Cerrone, after that 1st round, it was a fairly competitive fight. Henderson toyed with nate the whole fight. Others have beaten him easily. There are ways to beat him and there are ways he will kill you. If you fight him the wrong way, he will murder you....I am definitely a conor fan, but this is just in general...

No, not a chance in hell. If conor wins, he is moving on to someone else. namely a title fight. either with rda or whoever is champion at 170. But most likely at 155.

Are you crazy Nate Conor 3 at MSG would be the biggest fight in UFC history. RDA couldn't sell a hot dog and Robbie would murder Conor. The UFC is praying that they can get this fight it would set so many records.

Conor McGregor winning against a full camp Nate Diaz?

I don't think that superstar treatment is any more salient than with Conor. He got finished and wanted a mulligan so he got one. If he wins this fight, even though the UFC is promoting it as him going up two weight classes, they'll give him a shot at the 155 title because Diaz is technically ranked at 155.

if conor wins and you think nate will be given a rematch, then you're officially full retard.

If somehow he kos Diaz no way the UFC is going to wanna take a chance at a 3rd fight and Conor losing again. If Conor wins this fight they can make excuses for the first fight and hype Conor up again.

If Nate loses, he won't be in a position to demand anything..
Just like Conor should be in the position to ask for a fight at WW while he holds the FW belt and got stopped within 2 rounds.

Don't worry yourself about the minutiae. Conor is getting his ass kicked. Come on.
