What if Conor beats Nate? Nate will demand 3rd fight for sure

Has anyone else thought about this and broken it down in their heads?

If Conor were to win especially by a close 5 round decision, we all know how the Diaz brothers operate and act. Nate will go crazy saying he is the better fighter. He will refuse to fight anyone else, and will demand to fight Conor again. He will likely look for Conor at every event and try to start hallway brawls every chance he can.

Would the UFC cave and allow a 3rd fight to happen? It isn't out of the question. It would be one of those 1-1 fights where a 3rd fight would determine the winner. Lol! Sounds crazy, but we all know the UFC would possibly do this all because the first two match ups made a ton of money even though any Conor match up will gross that kind of cash.

If Conor wins he'll get a title shot at 155 immediately.

Not if he makes another 3 mill off the fight.

Dude may well just retire and head off to cabo permanently.

No way Conor takes a third fight if he wins the second. The UFC will either force him to defend his belt at 145 or take the belt from him. If they take the belt, and he now has a 1 fight win streak at LW, then he's going to look for some favorable match ups there and then ask for a fight against RDA.

Diaz would definitely raise all sorts of hell asking for a third fight, but I think the UFC would put that off as long as they could.

If Conor wins, Nate isn't getting a rematch. Not a chance in hell.

I don't believe in miracles...

Wait, Conor vs Nate might go to a 5 round decision?

Only for the 155 belt could Nate get a rematch.

If Nate loses, he won't be in a position to demand anything. Conor will move on to defend the 145 belt, and Nate would have to wait. It would probably happen down the line though, I think Conor has a sense of fairness when it comes to martial arts. He would recognize that it is 1-1. Besides, if Nate actually loses to Conor it is most likely to be by knockout, so he would need to take a little time off anyway.

I would never want to see three consecutive fights between UFC fighters. There are so many more matchups.

Too bad Nate will be in no position to demand anything, lol.

People are thinking he's gonna
win a 5 rd dec now? Dude was
breathing like James Gandolfini
5 minutes into the fight!

Only way he wins is by KO.
& those chances aren't high at all.

Stranger things have happened man.

If that fight is rockem sockem amazing fight for 5 rounds that is a very controversial decision, I don't have any idea why you would rule it out completely. Dana always does what seems to be the popular idea on that day. He makes plans at times, but he breaks them just as fast as he makes them as soon as the next card comes on and something else interesting happens.

It probably won't happen, but definitely there's a chance.

As far as the 145 belt goes, Zuffa could care less if that thing gets defended. Conor fights who he wants because he makes 10 times more money than anyone else can. It isn't fair and it sucks, but with Zuffa its all about the money.

Don't even rule out a Mayweather match up.

I think Nate retires win or lose. Two giant paydays after such a long UFC career. Take the money and chill. He has been talking retirement for a couple years now.

The only reason they're fighting again is because Conor lost and he wants to avenge it. That's it. If Conor wins, why would he choose to fight Nate again? Any fight with Conor in it, is a big money fight.

This, he has to either defend the 145 strap or pass it on to the winner of Edgar/Aldo. After this then he could go for the third or maybe even that RDA fight.

Of course there will be a third fight McGregor-Diaz 3 at MSG sounds pretty damn good to me.
