glory is trash..... Bellator kickboxing is D-level. true kickboxing fans watch obscure chinese/ european events.
I honestly wish Glory would stop watering themselves down to appeal to beer drinking dumb americans.
Kunlun/ enfusion/ WLF/ K-1 WGP/ Max muay thai/ Top King WS > GLORY
A mainstream sports network, like ESPN2?advertisement is kinda low, if the American public is the target audience try getting on a mainstream sports network, and super fights are kool.

I concur. Hopefully the Glory brass finds their way into this thread and jumps on that tremendous suggestion.that would be a good one
Boom! There it is... They should put the prelims on Fight Pass to try and garner some attention for the main card. Maybe throw a title fight on it that should absolutely be on the main card. You could even fill it up with super fights like the guy above mentioned.Difficult for a niche sport to broadcast its full card on a major network though.
Maybe it can carve out some portion (say the prelims) and stream those online to get the word out. Doesn't the UFC have a streaming service?
Glory uses a lot of the same international talent as all those other promotions, many of whom have jumped back and forth and taken fights and participated in tournaments or held championships in those kickboxing organizations you listed. They're using much the same top talent but Glory is catering to the huge market that I and a lot of other fight fans live in. It would be nice if any kickboxing promotion other than Glory made an effort to get on North American tv or more realistically a popular streaming service like UFC's Fight Pass which shows a lot of international fight cards.glory is trash..... gtfoIt's not that bad. Max Muay Thai and Top KING WS are garbage.

Glory has gotten away from booking a lot of Americans even on their U.S. cards lately. The last couple of cards in the U.S. was mostly comprised of international talent with just one or two Americans participating. I've been pretty impressed with the last few cards and the upcoming ones. Compared to MMA there are a lot less exclusive long term contracts in kickboxing, so one can always point out a big name or two or three that used to fight for Glory that doesn't anymore for various reasons. But on the other hand there are a lot more international names from Europe and Asia that they are bringing in lately, many of the same names that have competed in Kunlun, SuperKombat, Enfusion or in Thailand. If you're a kickboxing fan you should at least give them credit for doing some things right.gtfo
Glory is appalling sometimes with these american HW fighters.
US glory cards are watered down with these MMA fighters and B-level kickboxers like raymond daniels. I thought Glory was about the best kickboxers in the world but then they couldnt even keep onto their top talent like saki, spong, Giorgio.
They even watered down tournaments to "4 man contender tournaments" that quickly get forgotten. The excitement is gone. hence them getting badr in to face ricco.

Well when glory's roster was half americans they probably were close to the same level as top king but now that they are back to using top international talent it is not comparable. Also max muay thai is better than lion fights so the bangla comparison is way off.How am I wrong? Top King got good Thais from time to time and Max Muay Thai brings no name Farangs vs. mostly no name thais. Slighty better Bangla with good production.
You're just hating saying that that's better than Glory.
Kickboxing is almost dead in North America and not ringing any bells in Asia, What should Glory do?
What Glory should do to win the fans, the support and bring back Kickboxing to it's rightful place?
What Glory should do to revive the magic of Kickboxing which we haven't seen since K-1 and It's Showtime days?
exactly no story no rivalry it's almost like they went to sport this is a promotion say they really built up badr vs ricco then had the return of saki or levin returning or Schilling or Marcus and tell their story build the fights up. The sport almost needs a badr type character maybe spike kickboxing will get it rightI think they have to make the matchups more interesting and fights more consistent. For example Badr Hari vs Rico Verhoeven, everybody wants to watch that fight and many want to see Badr Hari win, others want to see him lose. Same with Sittichai vs Robin Van roosmalen.
What i've seen in previous glory cards is they have some random matchups and there is no build up or anything for these fights! The fans often don't know anything about the fighters. Sure many fights are good but do people really care of who wins or not? In many cases they don't, because there is no character development and the fighters only fight like twice a year.
