What fight did you realize McGregor was a legit threat

poirier.but i still can't call him legit without a ground game whatsoever.he will get wrestle-fucked by most.

Does that same standard apply to fighters without a striking game like Shields etc?

When he starched Holloway with a torn acl

if you are talking about being the champ of 3 divisions( :) ) you should be good all around.not just one dimensional.sooner or later someone will wresle-fuck you if you r a striker or someone will knock your head off if you are a wrestler.i thought that was common sense.

Yeah but it seems like it's only strikers with holes in their grappling that are slated for not being legit etc when guys like Shields, Palhares and Maia are hailed as great even though they have equal holes on the feet. I think the fans for some reason call strikers whof can't grapple one dimensional but not the other way round.

The Siver fight made me realize he was the real deal. Super impressive performance

He might be in trouble with Edgar, but he managed to get past Aldo and Mendez without a ground game. It's definitely not his strong suit, but the weakness is overstated.

The Nate fight - oh shit..

LOL!!

I knew he was dangerous from the first time I laid eyes on him. Dangerous for a man's heart. So thick, solid, tight.

every ufc fighter is somewhat legit to me.but if we r talking about championship kind of legit then you have to be all around great.it goes both ways, striker or wrestler.i like strikers more since i'm coming from k1 but the best kickboxer will lose to a good wrestler in a mma fight most of the time.

When he opens his filthy mouth he becomes a legit threat to my mental health. Triggers me something fierce.

Porier. I mean,it wasn't like I didn't think he was legit before that but I started paying attention to him after that fight.

a 2 weeks notice mini-wrestler put him on the ground with ease and he was begging ref to stand them up.if mendes had a little better fight iq he did have a really good chance for him to win that fight with taking him down constantly.but he wanted to strike with a much better striker with longer reach.fight iq is for real, some have some don't.

Hasn't happened yet!.....This is the first rematch he has asked for from a guy that beat him....In his past he seemed pretty content with accepting that an opponent had his number.

He COULD of had Dana arrange for him to avenge the Duffy loss but didn't.

If he destroys Nate in rematch, I will adjust my view on him.
Since he'd rather fight RDA than a not even top 15 LW, he was scared of Duffy?

When I saw his UFC debut and the post fight press where I got to see a bit about his mindset, I thought he was a future champion.

Mendes fight.
I understand full camp Mendes is a beast, but even on short notice I thought Conor would get wrestlefucked hard. Turns out, he had it in him.
Aldo fight was the confirmation.
Diaz fight lowered the bar a little bit, but he's still lord of the little guys.
