Did you have music playing growing up in your household. If you didn't have much what did your parents like? Or Grandparents/brother/aunt/etc..

I didn't really have much music played in the house. My mom like Doo Wop mainly. Chantels and stuff like that. When I was like 10 give or take a few years she had to work so not much music in the house. i remember getting her a George Harrison tape once because she liked that song Got my mind set on you. But yeah, Mainly doo wop stuff and Phil Spector girl groups. and she liked a lot of hippy-ish calmer stuff from the 60's that she liked back then, Folk stuff, But she never really played that much after that time period.

I didn't really ever live with my dad but i've never seen him play a song. Or mention hearing a song. Or liking a song ever in his life. lol I'm not too sure he's ever even heard a song.

My grandmother:

My mother:

My father:

Brothers:

My parents? 70's and 80's rock.

Mom's parents. Country although when we were just with grandpa he would put on "The Buzzard" the rock station. One of my favorite memories of him is driving down the highway with him and my cousins in their gold Mercedes on the way to mini golf blasting "'Wherever I May Roam".

My dads parents? I don't recall what my grandfather listened to but my grandma sort of evolved with home. It was classic rock and then expanded into whatever the grandkids liked too. Metallica,Kid Rock,Linkin Park, Alice in Chains,Pearl Jam act. She still is alive and listening to whatever

My mom listened to Ozzy, Led Zeppelin, Van Halen.. pretty much all the popular rock at the time and from before.

This is why she always took me to shows when I was a little kid.. she was young and still partied a lot. I saw Ozzy when I was two, Iron Maiden when I was three.

By the time I was born both grandpa's and one grandma had already passed away. My one remaining grandma was all about 50's rock. Elvis, Buddy Holly, Jerry Lee Lewis.
My parents listened to mostly Bluegrass/country. My uncles had a Bluegrass band and we used to travel around and watch them play. My dad used to take us to The Grand Ole' Opry for vacation. My older brother and sister were both into rock, pretty much anything from hard to pop to alternative.

my mom played Nirvana mostly... Pearl Jam and Soundgarden where mixed in here and there, but she was in love with kurt cobain

my dad was country but he didnt live with us so i didnt hear it unless i drove with him

my grandma was big into classical music....she would play it for hours on end ...she was also a huge bocelli fan

My father didnt care much about music, my mother worshiped Julio Iglesias and Pavarotti , my dear sister made me listen to all kinds of artists, mostly Bee Gees and Michael Bolton

My dad: Classic Rock, my mom: whatever was on pop radio at the time. My grandparents either drove in silence or listened to talk/news.

I remember my mum mostly listening to Dylan, Bowie, Simon and Garfunkel, Hot Chocolate, Fleetwood Mac, The Kinks, Jimi H, The Stones, Blondie and Michael Jackson when I was a nipper.

my American grandfather was a Pollack in Milwaukee. He died in the 50's so I assume he listed to this:

My mom plays the piano and my dad plays the guitar. Music was an important part of my childhood. Cat Stevens, Jim Croce, the beatles, elton john, abba and some folk rock acts were the staple. We performed "if you could read my mind" in school when i was a kid. I played the drums.

My Dad listened too Country and Soft Rock.

My Mom listened too alot of Rock, her Brothers are big fans of Rock/Metal.

I take after my Mother's side of the family when it comes to music.

Never knew my Grandparents that well.

My Paternal Grandparents were dead before I was old enough to remember.

My Maternal Grandmother is the only one that is alive and she lives fairly far away, still don't know what she enjoys.

Deep purple, black sabbath, Metallica, Pink Floyd, etc.

Pura musica mexicana pretty much.

This basically, Simon and Garfunkel(still enjoy the hell out of them) and Elton John, my mom had Rush, Zeppelin and CCR records/CD's laying around too.

I think the Stones were the first Rock bad I actively listened too, I got their 40 Licks CD when I was 12.

Parents listened to the cheese rock. 80s hair bands, and what they called metal then.
