What do you think of Bernie's "Housing for All" program?

One of the biggest contributing factors to homelessness is medical debt. Also the working poor.

So you sound like an idiot when you lump everybody into that "druggie group"

We should get you a brain allowance so you don't say stupid shit like that.

<TrumpWrong1>

Unaffordable housing is biggest factor.

Bootstraps and personal responsibility.
Dude you might as well have typed that comment in some made up language.

It's not going to register.

Edit: I was right.

That’s pretty much what I think

Like most of Bernie's so-called plans, it's a bunch of nice sounding nonsense that is next to impossible to implement and suicidal to maintain. Like all socialist nonsense, it is the average citizen that will end up eating the cost both financially and socially.

I guess you would rather people live on the streets.

Homelessness can ruin neighborhoods too. Or maybe you aren't old enough to realize that.
bad members of society fucking it up for the good members of society that actually participate, but we should cater to the ones not playing ball?

LOL.

You know our pockets are empty when it comes to helping people.

But we have endless money for war. Almost 2 trillion for 20 years and 7 wars. We just approved another almost 200 billion increase. We are gearing up for war with Iran. And we are building a "space force". How are we going to pay for it?

Leave it to booger to say something dumb.

Which is more realistic.

Buying a home through hard work and personal responsibility.

Or

Bernie Sanders providing you with a free house.

No. You should step over homeless people because you are so good and they are so bad.

<WellThere>

Helping yourself instead of waiting for the government to rescue you, this confuses and frightens the liberal.

What's your better plan?

America should have never closed down most of its Psychiatric Hospitals. I’ll gladly open up my wallet and give more for mental health treatment. Because of the rise of psychotropic drugs most Drs thought people with mental illnesses could live normal lives...but here we are. That’s where most of these people need to be

Do you want to solve the problem or not?
Totes, bro. $2.5 trillion on houses for junkies sounds great. Will clean them right up.

California has the highest homeless population, and the highest illegal immigrant population with barely any coincidence, meaning illegals show up with no money, no education, barely speak English, yet they're somehow able to find housing. Do you think maybe the problem is little further than "let's just build them some houses", or is this spending more half the current annual federal budget and won't solve the problem?

It's the plan I have the most aprehension about from his stated policy positions

To be clear, our housing market is insane in this country. Demand dramatically exceeds supply driving costs out of reach of the average person. The sharing economy has made renting a challenge in a lot of cities. Generally we treat housing that collapses and breaks over time as an appreciating asset which is a weird game of financial hot potato. It's really terrible and we should fix it.

At the same time, it doesn't address what we do about a potential housing surplus as the boomers die off in over the next 10 to 20 years. because that's 10 million people worth of housing that's going to free up. Adding another 10 million homes is a fix for today's problem but it's a plan that will take years to implement. I'm not sure that problem looks the same by the time the plan is executed. So if the boomers leave a housing surplus as we dump 10 million homes into the market that's a glut that could crash the housing market. Meanwhile if you are a few hundred thousand in debt on a house when this all goes off, you can never sell your home. You are permenently upside down on that investment.

I like the concept of addressing that the market is broken a lot more than I like the specifics of how he'd like to fix it. I don't want to work the next 30 years paying off the better part of a million dollars in mortgate payments just so I can leave my kids a $200,000 house. I don't want to have a house fire and have an insurance company tell me my home is only worth 100k while I still owe 300k because the government built low income housing next door and flooded the market with 10 million additional homes. I'd like to see progress, I'm just not keen on being a victim of that progress.

I'm also donating to Bernie and planning to vote for him anyway, because even though this plan isn't my cup of tea, he's right about most things and has been for years.

Why don't American junkies deserve help?

Read my other post. I wouldn’t give a dime to ol bern though. I don’t trust champagne socialists with summer homes who’ve done nothing of worth in 30 years. Seriously though there are solutions but that guy doesn’t have them

You just unwittingly give your money to endless wars.

They do, and this isn't it. This is a $2.5 trillion money hole. You can even still take my money, but spend it on counseling and mental illness help and not just buying houses for the drug addicted and mentally ill.

So no plan.

People living on the streets.

When are you running for president?
Get job, make money and buy your own fucking house. It’s pretty much life goal 101. If you failed at it how is this my problem?
