What do you think about WMMA

I find it stale it is so top heavy. When you talk about great MMA fighters who are women you have

Nunes
Wei Li
Holly Holm
Rose
Joanna
Ronda*

And out of those fighters above o would say only really Nunes and Weili have top tier athleticism and coordination

Outside of these fighters a lot of the rest of WMMA fighters are uncoordinated? The fight WMMA fight with Oliveria was shockingly bad.

There are not enough solid WMMA fighters to make a single deep division. The woman that fought Nunes yesterday looked like she was wading through mud, had a weird stance and was a punching bag.

The UFC must know this and maybe just use WMMA to bulk out the cards?

When will the skill level in WMMA raise?

You have to include Val on that list?

On WMMA you have to remember how many extra years the mens MMA has had to develop. If WMMA is given the time will it develop to the same level? I don't know, but one big advantage it has over mens is that is very high paying for a womens sport. There aren't a load of options out there which will get you similar pay as a pro female athlete. Tennis and Golf are the two that come to mind. This means WMMA has the potential to attract athletes in a way mens MMA can't.

It takes time but just remember when Rhonda was at the top, the other women just weren't good at all. Then she lost to Holly and the rest of the divisions began to improve. It isn't as deep as the men's but it is better than 10 years ago and will only improve.

I think it's trash overall. The top is good but you don't keep a car because you like 10% of it and hate the other 90%. It's the same with WMMA. Is it worth keeping all of them because 5 of them are good? There's hardly ever a women's fight that I watch that makes me forget that they are women fighting. It casts a shadow over the entire fight because they're just not good enough. Let them be in their own organization. Everyone knows WMMA by now so if there aren't enough fans to keep a separate company afloat then that'll tell you where they stand.

It's fine. You guys cry all the time. Stop acting like every male fight is fun and exciting.
One of the huge differences with the two is that while with men's divisions you have guys that stand out for being boring, with women it's the opposite. The good ones stand out because the rest of them suck. I used to not be aggressively against it, but I'm almost at that point. It's time for them to GTFO honestly. I feel safe skipping through their fights because most of the time I'm only gonna miss a split decision.

I think it's fine... obviously theres still a gap in skills between the top and the rest of each division but that will close over time..

Not sure why people are expecting Male level competition from female sports.

I enjoy fights...regardless of who's fighting and the development from fight to fight is much easier to see with the women then mens on a fight to fight basis ...from a coaching perspective its interesting to see the work these women put in or dont put in...it also helps expose weak or bad gyms/corners...like Aldana's last night who sent her out for the 5th and the only advice being...U gotta hit her....

I would of stopped it after the 4th...and would of been giving her a real hard look and talking to after round 2... Your either gunna start putting things together or we gotta stop this thing and start over with some mental work... She had no mental support in her corner...

I think it's a lower quality, subpar product that should be its own thing, in its own organization, and it's even more true these days, with how expensive cards now are.

There are no WNBA teams playing in the NBA, because they're not good enough to play in the NBA and fans pay big money to see the bests of the bests.
There are no female hockey teams in the NHL, because there are no female players good enough to be in the NHL and fans want to see the best players in the world

The same logic applies to 99,999% of pro sports based on physical habilities/athleticism/strength, etc... but for some reason it doesn't apply to the UFC. The UFC dilutes his product with female fighters who are not even Top 10,000 material, and that includes girls like Nunes, Shevshenko, Namajunas, etc.

Even the UFC doesn' believe WMMA is legit, otherwise they would have made WMMA-only cards by now.

You can't deny it has given us some amazing moments, some of the best ever in MMA. That being said it's boring 90% of the time.

Sounds stupid to me. If you want to argue wmma shouldn't be the main event I'm on board with with that..But anything else doesn’t make sense. I've seen as much boring ass fights put on by the guys

Amateur teenagers > WMMA

Reminds me of a funny anecdote. When it was preparing for the latest Winter games (in China if I remember), the Canadian female hockey team (the best female Olympic team in the world by far) was playing games against ~16-17yo boys (Bantams or Midgets, can't remember). They were not just losing their games against these highschool kids, they were getting RECKED (7-2 and 8-1 games were the norm)

Top of 115 and 125 aren’t bad, but my interest is lower than that of their male counterparts. Anything outside of maybe the top 5-10 in those divisions just doesn’t do much for me, the skill level is just noticeably low and most of them don’t even have the “at least maybe we’ll get a KO” feel you get with the low level heavyweights which is the worst of the men.

Not sure why Ronda was asterisked. She was an Olympic judoka, ... seems to me that would qualify for top-tier athleticism.

No of her victories went to a decision.

I think Amanda nunes would beat the entire bantamweight male top 5
Including the champ
