What do you think about WMMA

There’s only a select few WMMA fighters I enjoy and a lot of the time they even look bad and sloppy.

Also I see some trend that people think WMMA is like 10-15 years behind men’s MMA and they will eventually catch up to the talent pool. This is mind boggling. The women will never come even close to the men. You can see more skill and athleticism in a regional MMA than you will see in a WMMA title fight.

except you were using numbers as part of your argument, enjoy living with your parents![
Not what I said. Also, you’re on Aherdig with yellow cards. Stop acting like you live anywhere but mom’s basement.

I think ppl wouldn’t hate it as much if It wasn’t shoved down our throats constantly. Like once every couple of cards is ok but there’s multiple cards in a row with 2 or 3 wmma fights on the main card. Anyone who’s been watching mma for a year can see the quality of their fights is significantly lower. How can you charge $70+ per card and have half the product be amateur quality.

You have to include Val on that list?

On WMMA you have to remember how many extra years the mens MMA has had to develop. If WMMA is given the time will it develop to the same level? I don't know, but one big advantage it has over mens is that is very high paying for a womens sport. There aren't a load of options out there which will get you similar pay as a pro female athlete. Tennis and Golf are the two that come to mind. This means WMMA has the potential to attract athletes in a way mens MMA can't.

oh please. Look at any women’s sport and how horrendous it is in comparison.
Look at basketball and how difficult they make that look. Now you think they’re going to excel at something like fighting. There will always be a couple worth watching. And then just pure shit.

This isn’t dancing or gymnastics or ice skating. Or diving.

Hell just look at golf or tennis and see the incredible difference.

Other sports don’t force feed you that.

It would be fine if it’s not dispersed into every card.
just look how horrendous Macy barber is and was hyped to be the youngest ufc champion.

Even in the 90s of women’s boxing. You had anne Wolfe Lucia rijker. Chrissy Martin. I liked to watch those girls fight. Would never tune into a card specifically for them.
wmma is garbage compared to those girls from almost 30 years ago.

Rarely do you see a girl with speed and power who is actually a threat to ko someone. It’s like those boxing nun puppets most of the time.

I find it stale it is so top heavy. When you talk about great MMA fighters who are women you have

Nunes
Wei Li
Holly Holm
Rose
Joanna
Valentina
Ronda*

And out of those fighters above o would say only really Nunes and Weili have top tier athleticism and coordination maybe Valentina also

Outside of these fighters a lot of the rest of WMMA fighters are uncoordinated? The fight WMMA fight with Oliveria was shockingly bad.

It's not so much about the power as some of the lighter mens divisions do not have much power. It is that some wmma fighters are just awkward, plod forward in silly stances, throw arm punches it is just not entertaining. Many are not skilled?

There are not enough solid WMMA fighters to make a single deep division. The woman that fought Nunes yesterday looked like she was wading through mud, had a weird stance and was a punching bag.

The UFC must know this and maybe just use WMMA to bulk out the cards?

When will the skill level in WMMA raise?

Women just aint build for figthing.

Twice your age, twice your IQ. Your mom making the meatloaf tonight? Tell her I'm coming!

I support it because I think it is important that it continues to grow and develop. But in its current state there's few fighters that perform to a level that I find interesting. Nunes, Shev, Weili, Rose, Andrade, Santos, Holm, Cyborg, are excellent fighters. Joanna was also great, and Ronda, while abysmal as a person, was fun to watch.
