I'll be the first to say the UFC is a complete shit show with how they treat fighters as a company but I'm failing to see any fault with the having to deal with the Mcgregor soap opera.

They have given Mcgregor everything he ever asked for and made him the biggest star and highest paid fighter in the sport. All the asked him to do is what every other fighter was doing.

They just learned that they can't big dick McGregor.

Really?

I think McGregor just found out you can't big dick the UFC.

He tried to play hard ball with the UFC, got pulled from 200 and is losing his belt.

If you carry people then you carry power. The people have spoken. Your move ufc

He has the upper hand in my eyes. The UFC would have only negative results of taking him off 200 and I still 90% expect him to be on that card.
FYI not a huge Conor fan, this is just how I see the situation playing out.

Agreed. I often criticize the UFC by they are not at fault in this case at all.

I get that Conor wants to train but he shouldn't have accepted the terms and he should have negotiated on fewer dates and dates that worked with his training schedule.

Conor isn't one of these guys like Rory that only makes 40K for an amazing title fight....he is already getting paid millions. Promotion is a big part of why he makes the money.

He honestly doesn't need to promote as much anymore (because the promotional work that he did in the past will carry his name) but he still needs to keep his commitments if he agreed to do it in the contract.

First Dana was all for Conor coming back to UFC 200. Now, he's officially scrapped the main event. Conor has too much power right now and Dana absolutely hates it.

This is how it starts to end for the UFC I'm afraid.

That's funny I had it pegged the other way round. History tells us it hardly ever ends well when people try to big dick the UFC.

They set up a pointless rematch fueled by the need to feed Conor's ego...

They just didn't realize the depth of the Ol' boy's hunger.

They are at fault for ever making this guy special compared to others. That whole interim belt thing with Mendes. That is the first real fuck up they did with him.

When you spoil a child or give in to demands. The more spoiled and demanding a child becomes. You let them roll over you or you put your foot down. The promotion finally put their foot down.

Conor will NOT headline 200.

pretty sure the ufc was doing fine without mcdoucher, mcD was nothing before the ufc, and would still be. He needs to learn not to bite the hand that feeds, especially now that he has been exposed by diaz.

Well...

It should be noted that if Conor didn't puss out, then everything would be fine.

"Fine" being a relative term, but fine nonetheless.

Instead, he took UFC 200 for granted...

...and now he is OUT.

And mark my words, he's fucking OUT OF UFC 200...unless he does his media job.

...although, he probably sheds a tear at the mere thought of being in Stockton.

every other fighter didnt spend most of last year on media world tours, staying in Vegas for TUF then making them bucketfuls of cash from 3 events in 8 months. Every other fighter doesnt draw attention to the UFC like Conor does, if anyone deserves some leeway its him

I guess we will see. I just don't think anyone has been close to like McGregor before. Love or hate the dude, he's brought a shit ton of publicity and money to the UFC.

How does he have the upper hand? DW and the fertitas have all the money in the world and he isnt going to bring down the ufc if he takes his ball and goes home. Second even if he gets free of the ufc contract and can fight elsewhere what org is going to be able to pay him close to what he wants?

Conor need the ufc way more than the ufc need him and if you cant see that its not a matter of opinion your flat out wrong

They didn't do anything wrong and for once I completely agree with the UFC's stance on McDiva!

Would Mcgregor be as popular and be getting paid as much as he does nowif he didn't to all those media world tours? He can't have his cake and eat it too.
