Exactly, nothing. Number 1, there's no way that Conor didn't know he had to be in Vegas for promos weeks ago, if not months. So it's him who should have planned around that, not the UFC. Number 2, it's beyond naive to think that you can headline the biggest event in the company's history, but not do any promotion for the event. Let's not forget, this is sports entertainment. If you want just sports, don't go pro, stay amateur and you'll never have to do any promotional stuff at all. But if you wanna go pro, you need to accept that the reason you're getting paid a lot to throw a ball around or punch people in the face, is because the fans are paying the bill. In order for those fans to keep paying the bills, you need to do promos in order to create awareness.
This is especially applicable in Conor's case. Conor says that he is where he is now because of his fights, not because of doing media. This is of course complete BS and I don't think even the most hardcore Conor could argue that a large part of Conor's success is directly related to his public presence. You can't have it both ways. You don't get to be the highest paid fighter by talking shit and then all of a sudden, you don't want to talk shit anymore, you just want to fight, but you still want all the money that you got precisely because you talk a bunch shit.
