Crime What did the cops do wrong today. Vol. 2

Have you considered, just once, that I was dealt a shitty hand at life? I literally grew up in the PJ’s and had my bike stolen as a kid.

Want to know why I’m not a crack head?

It’s called personal responsibility.

No need to be a sarcastic ass.

Good on you for overcoming all of that....but some people weren't blessed the opportunity that maybe you were to open doors to success.

Had you not been granted opportunity is there a chance this could be you?

This transcends politics.

Not sarcasm, truth.

What opportunity was I blessed with? Hint, none.

No, it wouldn’t be me, because I’d get a fucking job.

Honestly, these “people” are a cancer in society. Yet you folks run around like “oh, he’s just a poor cancer cell, he’d be a t-cell if you just gave him a chance”.

<{cruzshake}>

There is no fixing them. They offer nothing to society. We are all better off without them.

So that’s where the brain damage comes from.

No, I was good at running away.

But I’ve definitely been harassed by cops, pulled over for nothing, racially profiled (that’s right, try being the white dude walkin past the 5 spot), etc.

<{hughesimpress}>

Whatever, as long as they’re catching murderers, rapists, thieves, etc. It’s a crazy hard job.

Us folks?

You already know that I agree with getting a job, contributing to society, abiding the law etc.

So you were not blessed with any opportunity to get to where you are now? I mean no one gave you a chance at some point?

I agree resisting is stupid.
But there's a bigger human element here to me....I guess "Us folks" just don't like seeing another human being getting shit stomped. Maybe there's no place for compassion now.

To me as soon as there's no place for compassion one ceases to be part of the solution and becomes part of the problem. People who murder don't have that human element too, but they're just criminals right?

No blessings, everything I ever got I worked for.

They’re not worth the title human. Do they feel compassion when they’re stealing your property? Raping your wife? Murdering your loved ones?

I have compassion alright. It’s for all the victims.

This is not the right thing to do and don't condone this kind of conduct by police, but why should I give a shit about some dirt bag thief? If he didn't want to get kicked in the head he shouldn't have been trying to rob people.

Agreed on the victims, as do I.

And I respect working for what you have. I have too.

But you were granted blessings as someone hired you. Not everyone is that fortunate.

Geese is going too hard ITT but lolz @ the idea of going to jail, getting beaten up or shot by cops! My only direct interaction with the poh-leece has been getting off free from what should've clearly been two different speeding tickets. My biggest legal infractions in life thus far are double yellow cards on Sherdog for homophobic slurs, and a ban for pro-homo content.

Lol man.....I'll just say from a cops perspective you're a better man than I, and leave it at that ;)

I've had positive and negative interactions with cops, but mostly positive by a wide margin. But I think the type of interaction that you have largely depends on your neighborhood, your socioeconomic class, and the biases of the office involved. That is what freaks people out, since some of those things are out of your control.

The guy in the video was laying on his belly, and the cop ran over and head kicked him. The guy laying down had absolutely no control over that situation, and that's unsettling. We can call him a criminal, a piece of trash, and all that, but this is still America where you get your day in court.

It's not that I haven't done things that could be considered criminal. There's at least a couple domestic disturbances (livid and punching holes in the wall when I was with my ex-gf), a few street fights outside of bars/clubs and, I used to sell drugs on the side (anabolic steroids). All of it between the age of 18-25.

Those infractions all sound somewhat connected.

You may want more POS criminals on the streets, I don’t.

If a cop kills a criminal in the line of duty. Oh well, good riddance.

I'm guessing you've broken the speed limit before, so you should have no problem getting killed for that -- right? After all, it is a crime.

This is where it starts and stops with me.

Cops are not there to punish criminals, nor to help them. Just detain and deliver. It’s why you don’t talk to them about anything unnecessary too. They cannot help give you a deal. The guy is a dick, and he deserved to get fired, and charges brought upon him.

So very tired of people trying to give the police the go-ahead to abuse civilians. It’s insane to me. Especially from fellow conservatives, who wish for less government involvement in our lives. Well, police beating the fuck out of you at their own discretion is a form of big-government abuse. Damn man

I literally feel nothing for criminals.

Oh no, he got shot...

<Fedor23>
What was his crime? Seriously I don't know. If they had just shot someone I might understand if not condone the urgency but what did they do?

It's also entirely irrelevant whether or not you sympathize with the victim, there's a code of conduct keeping cops in check (theoretically) for a reason. You guys underestimate the danger of abuse of power.
He is but one poster.
Your point is good, though. Just don’t imagine that there are many on here who agree with what he said.
