Crime What did the cops do wrong today. Vol. 2

Geese is going too hard ITT but lolz @ the idea of going to jail, getting beaten up or shot by cops! My only direct interaction with the poh-leece has been getting off free from what should've clearly been two different speeding tickets. My biggest legal infractions in life thus far are double yellow cards on Sherdog for homophobic slurs, and a ban for pro-homo content.
When you got off, did uh, they also... get off?

I always get off with tickets, too.

I think you're a piece of shit too, but I wouldn't applaud cops stepping on your neck. It's called having a moral compass, something a lot of right wingers seem to lack despite putting forward the image of being the party of moral values.

It's like you guys are only principled when it comes to putting other people down, not when showing compassion, that's gotta be that protestant mindset.

You had me until “Protestant” you sprout sucking waffle muncher

The cop was in the wrong and I have not problem with him getting kicked off the force.

The only problem is how much the shit head got in the settlement. He should have gotten what he is worth, 5 dollars.

Should have tazed him and keep shocking him until he did what he was told.

Have you ever, just once, considered what it's like for some people given the hand they were dealt?

You and I agree on a lot politically but god damn man....it's still a human being. Maybe they fucked a few things up along the way....as have you and I.

You'll have to define "fucking up". I don't know anything about this guy, but my level of sympathy only stretches so far. If he had a rap sheet for assault for instance, he got what he deserved. It's easy to look at a guy getting stomped and think "over the line!", without considering the terrible pain and suffering they might've caused.

Just because they are a human being, doesn't mean they aren't an irredeemable piece of shit who deserves far more than a kicking. Again, don't know about this guy, but the whole "we're all human" defense doesn't apply across the board. Some humans do deserve an ass kicking, or worse.

Like none of us got our ass kicked by a cop because we were doing stupid shit...

This guy is not a criminal and got shot, many times people have called the cops to their home for help and got shot by a cop in panic mode

No need to be a sarcastic ass.

Good on you for overcoming all of that....but some people weren't blessed the opportunity that maybe you were to open doors to success.

Had you not been granted opportunity is there a chance this could be you?

This transcends politics.
That guy showed his true colors, he is a sadist and heartless person with no compassion. Dudes sick

Since you went there: the uncomfortable fact and elephant in the room here is that it would probably be the best BJ of your life, bro. Awkward. But no, I've never needed to resort to such measures to avoid tickets. Is there something to "white privilege"?

These are the threads where I am truly ashamed to be a right-winger.

Oh.

Well, thats how I got off of my tickets.

Embarrassing.

It's also entirely irrelevant whether or not you sympathize with the victim, there's a code of conduct keeping cops in check (theoretically) for a reason. You guys underestimate the danger of abuse of power.
Both sides are underestimating the abuse of power.

You shouldn't be man. Just because you have right wing values doesn't mean you can't have compassion for other people.

But the cops were too harsh on Roger Stone? Could have swore some of these posters were going on about that recently.

You shouldn't be man. Just because you have right wing values doesn't mean you can't have compassion for other people.

I'm talking specifically about comments made from right-wingers on this thread. Some of them are fucking embarrassing. The left should take every opportunity to ridicule some of the folks here.

I cannot for certain say what "Human Rights" are as they can be subjective to the audience. I can say, however, what the Bill of Rights are. And cops stomping on people's heads are a pretty clear infringement of both. It's the bad cops, the good cops that look away, and the citizens who encourage this that make me sick.

Agreed. When you sympathize with a cop breaking a suspect's head and applaud it, you're facilitating all around abuse of power.
Or tech-corporations mass censoring speech that goes against what they have decided is "politically correct."

Both sides.. That's why we need more sides, and more people smart enough not to pick a pre-approved "side."
