Crime What did the cops do wrong today Megathread Vol. 6 ? (who knows, lots of cop threads)

A Missouri cop mistook at 14 year old with mental health issues who tried to leave the hospital for a suspect who'd allegedly assaulted a nurse.

The suspect was an adult woman in a car who'd had a road rage incident with the nurse. The kid is male.

The initial responding officer who initiated the contact with the kid lost her balance and fell down multiple times causing her to dislocate her elbow. The other officers who showed up beat the kid and arrested him for assaulting an officer as a result.

The mother fought with the department to get the bodycam footage. The first officer did not have hers turned on. The department heavily edited what they did release and cut out audio of the officers hurling insults and profanity at the kid.

lol cops are so fucking stupid. Almost nothing I can think of is a better money generator than a fucking MRI machine. Certainly not an illegal grow op. Cops are the only people in america dumb enough to assume the opposite, and of course they go in guns out and up. Fucking useless

I don’t think either of these violate the rules at all. But look at the difference if cops. This idiot American cop literally shoves the guy helping a cop who was assaulted

Vs cops in another country, allowing this guy to rightfully beat up scum

More stories about DUI arrest fuckery.

This Nashville station has been doing an entire series of reports on false DUI arrests in Tennessee. Apparently, Tennessee cops won't breathalyze people on the roadside and will frivolously take them into custody on suspicion of DUI even if they pass the arbitrary sobriety tests. If they're arrested, it takes several months, sometimes close to a year, to get test results back from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation to clear the case.

This guy got arrested after passing the sobriety test because the cop knows that one of his relatives smokes weed and hence assumed that he did too.

This old man got arrested after telling the officer that he was shooting pool, and the officer's expert analysis is that sober people don't shoot pool.

Another story about a "DUI specialist" who keeps arresting sober people.

In Albuquerque, the entire DWI unit is under FBI investigation for corruption. A bunch of officers have resigned or been fired.

Blatant piracy

I think that this story posted in a previous version of this thread.

A Rochester detective arrested an EMT at a hospital because his vehicle was hit by an ambulance. Of course, this happened because he was blocking the ambulance bay and refused to move when the EMTs arrived in their rig with a patient.

He injured the EMT's arm by throwing her into a wall while cuffing her hands behind her back.

It took two years for the department to figure out how to discipline him. His "punishment" is that he stays on paid administrative leave until he's eligible for his full pension next year and then retires with all of his benefits.

The hubris and lack of accountability in PDs is insane.

Turns out that the lead trooper in the first two videos is the Tennessee Highway Patrol's "DUI Officer of the Year."

He got the award for making the most DUI arrests in the agency.

However, nothing about what his actual conviction rate is. This is the entire problem with incentivizing departments over DUI arrests rather than actual convictions. They set a bunch of road pirates loose looking for the flimsiest excuses to make DUI arrests.

Tim Kennedy getting some crossover exposure.

This is from that "Street Cop" training seminar that got kicked out of New Jersey for teaching cops unconstitutional policing tactics.

They relocated to Florida with the blessing of Ron DeSantis.

Departments are spending taxpayer money to send cops to these seminars to learn how to violate rights so that the taxpayers have to pay out again for the inevitable lawsuits that will follow.

Fucking genius all around.

Oh yeah, Tomi Lahren was also a guest speaker at some of these seminars because, apparently, her expertise as a Fox News bimbo is relevant to modern policing.

Another disgusting false DUI arrest story courtesy of Michigan state police.

This guy got arrested despite passing the sobriety tests. He was taken to the hospital for a blood alcohol test, and he passed that too.

Despite being sober, they took him to jail to "sober up" where he was accused of having swallowed drugs and forced to defecate in an open toilet for inspection.

After he got the bodycam footage, he saw that there was an extended section of video where one of the troopers was searching the patrol vehicle for several minutes and looking for a "stash" after he passed the sobriety test. It sure as hell looks like they were trying to plant something on him but didn't have any drugs.

He also found the social media accounts of these two cops after he was arrested, and they'd fit right in here in the WR. They were mocking him about being gay the entire time.

Prosecutors threw out the charges, and he filed a lawsuit.

I have no idea how anybody blindly supports LEOs when there are pieces of shit like this on the job who face no consequences for this type of behavior.
