What consoles did you own?

1. Intellivision - dad bought it when it first came out because it was supposed to be better than the Atari. I was too young to enjoy it when it was new, but I had a lot of fun with it when I got older. Often playing that instead of my super Nintendo.

2. NES - got it for my birthday

3. Super Nintendo - I was 15 I think. I had a job cleaning a business and getting paid under the table. Saved up that money and bought it myself.

4. PlayStation - I wasn't going to jump into the next generation because I was happy with my SNES games. But when I saw resident evil 2 I was blown away. I found a used PS on Craigslist and bought it.

5. PlayStation 2 - same thing. Didn't want it, but then I saw the new smackdown game and had to have it

6. Wii - I bought it just to sell it at a higher price since there was a shortage. But I couldn't resist trying it out, and I fell in love and decided to keep it.

7. PS3 - I wanted it so I could play red dead redemption. But I was broke, just had a kid and couldn't afford it. They were 400 bucks at the time, plus I'd have to buy the game and a new TV because I didn't own an HD TV at the time. Luckily a buddy of mine needed help on a job, so I worked for him on that job and made enough to buy what I needed.

8. PS4 - I was introduced to XCOM on the PS3, and XCOM 2 was coming out so I had to buy a PS4 to play it. It was cheaper than buying a new PC.

9. Wii-U - this might have been before the PS4, I don't recall. But my son wanted it for Christmas so we got it for him.

10. Nintendo switch - again, present for my son.

5. PlayStation 2 - same thing. Didn't want it, but then I saw the new smackdown game and had to have it

The N64 was my first console I owned that wasn't shared. It was the only console that gen I owned then going forward I got every console that came out from the PS2/GC/Xbox era onward except for the xbox consoles, which I dropped after 360 for obvious reasons. No interesting story's behind any of the console acquisitions aside from maybe the 360 which my step brother bought for me because he was mad I got a Wii instead and wanted to be able to game online with me.

NES-Genesis-Saturn-PS1-PS2, then all of the big consoles until this generation. Only own a PS5 now

Of them all my favorite to look back on was the Saturn. So many great and unique games on it. It’s too bad it didn’t sell better

SNES was my first, it was really my older brother's console but I played it a ton. Got the N64 and PS1 and a Game Boy Advance, then the PS2 and GameCube. Went back after this and bought a Dreamcast and NES for collector's purposes and nostalgia value. Got out of gaming for a stretch, and when I came back I went to PC. But I still have all my old consoles in the closet next to me.
