What books are you reading?

I was sort of surprised there was going to be another one, since there appears to be diminishing returns in reception and enthusiasm for each consequent book, but I'm down for another expansion of the universe.

Book 3 is my least favorite so far. It's good, just not as good as the first 2. So we shall see how it ends. I have less than 100pgs left. Not sure if I will finish it tonight like I planned since I'm working alone.

Excellent read imo. Really captures being a young canadian girl tbh. Makes me feel things.

A Song of Ice and Fire, or Game of Thrones to most people. GRR Martin loves him some food descriptions.

If you're into Canadian lit you should check out Mary Lawson and Ann-Marie Macdonald.

Lawson's books are all easy and quick reads.

Ann-Marie Macdonald can be a bit of a weirdo, but there's no denying Fall On Your Knees is an absolute masterpiece. (No, I didn't see the 6 hour play.)

Kind of want to start reading some Alice Munro.

Runaway Jury. It's really good so far. I like the humor and the characters. Will watch the movie after.

Trying to get into Grisham. Saw a few of his movie adaptations. I previously read "Camino Island." Because i found it in a free bin. Interesting book but felt very niche and meta for the literary crowd.

Finally got around to reading Jurassic Park by Crichton. Really enjoyed it but still prefer the film. Then I read Next which was....interesting.

After runaway Jury I have the whistler or pirate latitudes to read from Grisham. So any info on which one is better to read is appreciated.

Also picked up Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett for free. Might read that.

Fall on your knees does involve incest and child on child murder as some pretty significant plot points. There's also a pretty graphic birth delivery scene. I highly recommend though.

after your last post i looked it up on amazon and seen it features cape breton nova scotia so, im already down to read it after i finish my current book.
