I'm at the end of Alan Wake 2 now. Will probably beat it tonight. All I can say is this game is amazing. Remedy is such an amazing developer and they haven't missed with me at all. Quantum Break was their weakest title for me and even then I still enjoyed it.

I can see why people hated it there were so many sections that just involve walking around and moving through the levels. I don't know though it's just done well for me and I loved it. No question I'll be getting the plat already at like 85% very easy plat to get thankfully.

It's such a shame they are releasing this DOA MP game. Good to hear the game is now profitable also.

surprised how easy it was to get bloodborne up and running on pc, aside from having to download a bunch of sound effects packages and the bb launcher with the sfx hack to get all the audio sounds to work. running flawlessly on my hardware so far. apparently the emulation has came a long way. just a year ago they couldn't get the game past the starting menu. now it's entirely playable on shadps4.

i retired my ps4 like 5 years ago after it became a glorified space heater and started sounding like a jet engine, even at the home screen. and the battery life of the controller became terrible and i just can't see myself buying another one for a console i don't even use anymore.

but i never did get too far in bloodborne and that's like the one ps4 game that i still want to get around to playing and finishing. now i can finally do it. and theres patches to enable 60fps or just uncap the framerate entirely as well as patches to run it at 1440p and 4k, so it's like the superior version of bloodborne.

shame that it has to come down to emulating because after 10 years sony still doesn't want to release a pc port, even though they know it would be money.

playing some tokyo xtreme racer and it's pretty cool. it's still in early access but the full launch shouldn't be too much farther away. 3-4 months or so they're estimating.

i have fond memories of playing txr zero way back like 20 years ago on ps2. i was gonna snag the rom of it and dive into it but then i found out that the studio came out of nowhere and dropped a bombshell on their fans and announced that they were launching a new and modernized version of the game for pc and then 3 weeks ago the early access released. so i did a little bit of sailing of the seven seas and now i'm dipping into it. it's pretty much what i would come to expect out of this style of a racing game.
That was one of my favorite games in the early 00’s. My friends and I were all in the grip of Fast and Furious ricers so it couldn’t have come at a better time. Plus it was a banger of a game.

i'm gonna have the new one beat pretty quick at the rate i've been going. after that i wanted to get back into tokyo extreme racer zero for nostalgic purposes but then i found out that there was a tokyo xtreme racer 3 that got released a few years later and i never even knew that and i never even that game existed so i'm gonna jump into that instead of txr zero if i can stomache the dated ps2 graphics lol.

alright got the bloodborne enhanced mod pack installed and working, that was a bit of a trick to set up but it adds alot of quality of life stuff to the game.

got gran turismo 4 + the spec ii expansion mod as well as all of the hd texture packs for cars tracks and menus so i kinda modernized the game.

aside from gt7 i've played every other gran turismo game in the series and gt4 was by far my favorite of the bunch. it was packed with content and had everything. the other games can't even hold a candle to it. i really wanted to go back to it but the graphics are a bit too dated. but now i can thanks to the modding community, who have taken a gem of a game and turned it into something special.

there's no way i could dust off the ps2 and go back to playing my copy on that and torturing my eyes. i dont even think my tv's even have the regular yellow + red/white inputs to connect such an old system to. and even emulating it on it's own wouldn't be that much better and the graphics would still be dated. but now at least i've got an opportunity to play it in a more modernized form. it was a bit of a trick to get all set up but it was worth it.

i really need to stop adding games, as my backlog is already extreme. but i couldn't help myself. i got bloodborne up and running, and then pimped out gran turismo 4. it was a good day.

Jedi Survivor

Alright game, it's time to end. I appreciate the effort to keep giving, but it's time to wrap it up. Christ, I beat the big baddie, and then you throw in a big twist and practically start a whole new adventure. The last bit of this game feels like it could've been the first bit of the next game. I find that games do this a lot, and just stretch the last third of the game out to a point where I just want it to end. You rarely get that perfect wrap up in gaming. Oh' and

Making me fight Darth Vader with a different character with none of the moves I've adapted to with my character and four stinking health packs, was complete bullshit. Guy basically has three phases too, and can end you at any time with two or three hits. I beat him after about 20 tries, but I felt no satisfaction. Just anger. Such a bullshit wall to randomly throw in there. Wouldn't have bothered me as much if it wasn't for the character swapping bullshit that needlessly handicaps you, though.

Still a great game, with an excellent story and that twist was really good. It just came about 5 hours too late for me to really appreciate it.

EDIT - Done. Finally. What a depressing ending. I loved it. Gives you hope that yes, they can still write good stories in this universe. This is a "total package" game, where you get great gameplay, exploration and a damn good story to keep you plowing through it. A tidy 40 hours, that could be extended to 50 or 60, if you really wanted to do everything. Not much wasted time in this one, and EA should be giving many more projects to "Respawn". They know what they're doing.

Reinstalled Returnal due to the Saros reveal last week, otherwise my boredom with gaming continues, there's nothing out there at the minute making me want to make an effort to play something

Although I have a feeling UBI will be discounting a lot of games to $5-$10 soon.
<6>
Just picked up Anno in the ps+ store for $11. I was going to pay full price a few months ago now it’s $11..steal
Expect more deals to follow.

Farcry 6

I heard this one sucked but it was 10 bucks new so I bought it. I think it was Farcry 3, but one of them was one of the best games I ever played.

Then I bought Farcry 4 or 5 and you had to swap bullets to kill certain enemies or some shit. Ruined the game. I hope Farcry 6 is has it where any weapon or ammo works.

I just finished the opening story and I'm on my own now. Graphics are 5 stars right out the gate.

ya it kinda has that, where certain enemies require armor piercing rounds. its no big deal though.

i don't remember the gran turismo 4 special class license tests being this hard. got tired of having to keep restarting so i cheesed it using save states, something i couldn't do on a playstation. god damn i must have been a gaming prodigy 20 years ago because that was hard as fuck. anybody who can get gold on all of those is absolutely insane. it was all i could do just to pass them.

Reccomend me some relaxing street racing/driving games.Esp if it has big cities like NYC/Tokyo etc

I just want a game to veg out to.

I enjoyed just cruising in Cyberpunk. Neon city lights reflecting off the windscreen to in-game radio that's a total vibe.

If you're on PlayStation Plus/Extra, there are gobs of free racers and BMX there like Need for Speed: Payback, Dirt Rally 2.0, Ride 4, Trials Rising (pretty fun), LEGO 2K Drive, Wreckfest, and retro stuff like Ridge Racer (more on Premium tier) or fishing/vessel chill like Dredge.

You have to poke around.

I caved in.

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii has been bought and is being downloaded as we speak.

I went with the standard edition. I don't think I need to pay a tenner for extra skins...

The Crew motorfest has a 5 hour free trial on PS I'm sure its on other platforms as well. Could at least try it and see if you like it enough to purchase.

I'm pretty much a PC/Switch gamer at this point.

Dont got a PS

This mission in GOW Ragnorak where you ride around on the yak with the girl, does it ever end???? This has to be be the longest and most boring mission I've ever played in a video game. It's been three hours and I had to tap out. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come. I was really enjoying this game and this bs completely killed my desire to continue.
