I haven't played on Xbox since the 360 but do they not have plats or whatever the equivalent would be? That would be weird considering Sony took the idea from them.
Nope, they've never had an official title for getting all the achievements. I think it's where "One hundred percent-ing" a game came from, though.

They have achievements. But a base game now comes with 1000/1000. And then if there is paid DLC or certain content updates they will add additional achievements. It's annoying to say I got the full 1540/1540 for example so I just say now "I got the platinum" cause there is no way to say completion on the Xbox architecture.

Kind of dumb I know.

The Witcher 3

Threw it in for a larf, and picked up where I left off in an earlier save(fuck that tutorial section). Game still amazes me with how much content it has. Think I've spent like 10-15 hours just doing side quests in "Novagrad"(the first big area), in the past little while. Still have some weird glitch, where a hammer is just glued to my feet. Even in cutscenes, the hammer will position itself to where Geralt eventually comes to stand. If I knew how, I would create a video series on the adventure of this hammer. It seems like a rare glitch, because I can't find anything online in how to solve it, or if it's even an issue at all for others. I just remember jumping on some junk somewhere, and it's been there ever since. It never goes away. It's hilarious.

Playing Doom eternal again on my rog ally.

So much fun

The puzzles stuff to open doors and platforming can sometimes be a drag but the combat is sooooooooo gooooooooooood.

Now that I'm alot more accustomed to switching weapons around to deal w diff enemies, since I've already beaten it once, I find it even easier this time, and it's actually pretty satisfying to get the hang of.

Generally I'm a pretty basic fps player and I do fine by generally ignoring peripheral abilities and changing weapons by blindly stabbing at the number keys. But Doom Eternal on the hardest difficulties really forced me to improve my weapons management and to stop sleeping on extra abilities. Especially in the DLC's you really need to use everything in your arsenal and your weapon-swapping needs to be on point

I had a glitch for Cyberpunk that lasted the remainder of the game where one of my fingers as V turned into the cigarette I chose to smoke at one smoke location. Every cutscene broke immersion because of it and it’s funny to me now only in hindsight; it bugged me big time.

Still playing 2021 Metroidvania FIST and having a great time.

About 25h in but am at final boss. Better said, stuck on final boss. Tough SOB. The boss before him (Yokozuna) was one of the cheapest, bullcrap fights I’ve had to endure in a while. F that guy.

I found this one hidden cosmetic for one of protag’s weapons (drill) called Void Knight and it’s exactly what you think it is – no, not RuneScape but an ode to Hollow Knight. Nice surprise.

After this I’d like to play the Dead Space remake I’ve got installed. Never played before. I’ve got my eye on Tails of Iron 2 as well, which drops in 10 days.

Yeah, I'm over it. I remember it pissing me off to no end on this save file when I first played it, but I'd kind of miss it now, if it were to fix itself. It almost seems intentional in some cut-scenes. There have been a few scenes where the camera will start out focusing on the ground, and the hammer is just there like a main character. I just think "Well, that's where Geralt will eventually stand". LOL.

I had a glitch where my characters big, uncut cock would bug through, like it was dangling through an unzipped fly.

Wish I took a screenshot..,

Do it.

It's the most METAL game ever made, and you should play it before trying out the new one comin out.

Huh you are "a basic fps player" but play on the hardest diff.? Is this like a humble brag or something? Lol I am confused. You didn't play on Nightmare did you?

I mean basic in the sense I forget about side abilities and neglect things like weapons wheels. I've been playing fps's since I was a little kid and always have one or two installed so I'm pretty good at them (I'm not pro-level or anything). Games like Doom Eternal that rely on fast movement are the ones I'm best at. Re: Doom Eternal I didn't play Ultra-Nightmare but pretty sure I did Nightmare on my third playthrough

Beat Ys 8 and got the plat. Had a lot of fun with the game looking forward to the others in the future.

Purchased KCD since it was on sell for $10. FPS was tough at first but I'm used to it now. I'm pretty much caught up to the exact moment I was on PC which is basically just the intro section which I enjoyed on PC as well. Will see how it goes from here.

got back into wreckfest. this shit is awesome. chaos, carnage, and hilarity ensues in every god damn race. this shit is bananas.

the courses with figure 8's and the ones that turn you around and go back the same way you came when all the other racers behind you are coming towards you is fucking funny as hell but stressful as fuck out as the races are sometimes out of your control.

the demolition derby's are right up my alley but i i like the race where they stuck me with some 3 wheel piece of shit that cant even turn without flipping over and they thrown me in the last starting position against 23 school busses in a tiny little circular nascar style track. took me a couple tries because the busses keep piling into each other and i have nowhere to go but straight into the sides of them.

if they set up nascar races to mimic some of these wreckfest courses, there would be a whole lot of dead people and smashed up automobiles by the time the race is over. good god this shit is filthy. i've played a shit tonne of forza and gran turismo but i've never played anything like this before.

shits fucking nuts. i ain't even tried it online yet but i got these two track packs from the steam workshop that contain dozens of custom race tracks and from what i've read most of the online community runs servers that requires those mods, and it looks like they put some gnarly tracks in there, and some real world courses like leguna seca as well.

but i don't think it will exactly be your every day track racing because from what i understand there's always a couple griefers who will happily smash you at every opportunity and there's always going to be that one dude in every other game driving the wrong way in a school bus or a dump truck just looking to ruin somebodies day. but hey, i guess that's why they call it wreckfest.

my backlog is insane right now, i have so many games that i haven't even really started because i always end up getting more new games or going back to older ones that i enjoy.

i also have the original doom that i bought alongside my first xbox one. but i never did end up playing that one either because i bought a handful of other games that i got into. i won't even bother with it on xbox i'll just pirate that shit for pc now, but what do you think the better game is - doom or doom eternal?
