Trails through daybreak. Playing this and just taking my time. Going to go for the plat on this one since I missed it on Trails from Reverie. I want to get the plat on at least one of these games. Loving the changes they made to the combat the cast and story are a lot better this time around also for the start of a new arc.
Didn't plan on it but my friends were going to start a playthrough of Remnant 2 together and I couldn't pass on that. So we linked up and started playing through it. We started on Veteran but moved up to nightmare and it's been rough but a lot more fun. We beat some mirror boss last night that took us like 10 tries to take down.
Daybreak is a good one to get the plat on. Takes two playthroughs and some save scumming at a certain point, but it is definitely a lot simpler than like the first two cold steel games ,or the older ones.

Can't just do two play throughs? Can you let me know when I should save scum without spoiling it? I tried to get as much info on trophies as I could but obviously I don't want it spoiled. Even just giving me a chapter would be good enough with how long these games are.
I almost got the plat in Trails into Reverie but I missed a chest at the very begging of the game when you go to your hometown so I didn't bother getting the rest after I realized that.

There will be a point near the end of the game where you have 4 choices on who to work with. You get a trophy for each choice. So you just save there, go until you get the trophy, then reload and do it again.
You should only need two playthroughs. You need it for the alignment levels and some connection stuff.
The nice thing is, you dont need all the chests to get the plat, so missing a few is ok.
Playing Cat Quest 3 right now. Absolutely loving it. One of my favorite games of the year so far no joke. These games are just so fun. The devs want to make 9 of them in total and I’m totally down. Each one has been a blast and this one introduces ships and a pirate theme.
Yea all the games you need to play seems to be the biggest turn off for people. The story still isn't done and has like 5 more games. Each arc does have it's own conclusion but the overall story isn't done. It's really no different than watching the marvel movies. You have the main story but the overall story with Thanos is like 23 movies.
I play on controller as well. Fuck the weapon wheel, just quick swap between two weapons. The SSG is a staple for me because of the Meathook and I usually pair it with PB, Ballista or Rocket Launcher.
Oh yeah it fries your nerves alright. I can only play two or three levels at a time because it's so draining.

It is definitely hard to change pairings while you're jumping around so to make it a little easier I mapped SSG to the dpad. Then I only have to use the weapon wheel once.
The best combo for max damage is probably PB-rockets or ballista-rockets. I find ballista a little easier in the heat of battle because there's no weapon mod (L2) needed.
I know this game got shit all over by critics but so far im enjoying it quite a bit. Combat is simple but satisfying, story is passable and the banter between you and your little fox-god buddy is fairly amusing. The world is well done and there is a fair amount of exploration although its still pretty linear. My only real issue so far is the traversal seems a bit awkward and overcomplicated. There is nothing groundbreaking here but so far its a solid 7/10 game.
had a couple sit down sessions with Stray. Solid game. First couple levels were really linear but now ive entered a larger area where you have to explore and search for stuff. Game has good balance on difficulty of being challenging without getting stuck. Being a cute cat is a bonus.

Was planning on grinding out endgame stuff over the weekend in Granblue and start with Black Myth on Monday, but the grind is just to much. Looked up and saw I got only had 3 more quests to unlock and still hadn't seen the weapon drops for awakened gear. Decided to just put it to bed and play a quick game over the weekend from the back log and thought Dead Space would be perfect. Forgot how much I enjoyed the original. Will be good to blast some demons and cleanse the pallette before I jump into another RPG.
Apparently DOS2 for Switch isn't just a simple port from the PC, they basically had to fine-tune it to be playable with the Switch's screensize & resolution.
But you're taking a huge risk paying that much for the physical release. Its $75 just from the download version, and $130 is about as high as any game I've heard is actually being sold for with the intention of playing it rather than just collecting.
Personally, I didn't have a high opinion of DOS2 for PS4, so I hope you enjoy it more than I did.

I agree $130 is a lot, it's the most i've ever paid for a video game and i have a decent sized collection... It's a "limited run"' release and has become really rare/desirable. I bought it both for playing and collecting and think it will only go up in the future.
