Yeah, being a hot head and willing to engage in a fire fight slug fest was Garbrandt's big downfall. He could've probably lasted a lot longer at the top of the had been more strategic in the cage. Which is weird because the Cruz fight was super high emotion going into it with their who gym/camp feud and that fight was an absolute master class. He would get on, so his work, and then get out and reset. But he never got hurt in that fight. If he gets rocked a bit that ego kicks in and he just has to try to get it back and that's when he gets KTFO being an idiot.
Chuck and Frankie really just kinda fell victim to Father Time and fight mileage. At some point you just lose a step or two and the chin starts to fade and that's all she wrote. Like most great fighters, they hung around a few too many fights at the end. Hindsight being 20/20 and all that, Frankie should've probably hung them up after the Korean Zombie fight and Chuck missed the perfect ride off into the sunset moment when he beat Wanderlei.
