Rose is one of the biggest straweights, has a very hard time making 115.

Manon is a big strong FLW. You cant downplay her W because of it.
I think she is a legit contender although not champion material

That mean's she's now in the Weili, Esparza.....just looking at the landscape, that might be enough to get her a title shot. Relative to other things, the only thing after beating Rose is a number 1 contender match or just straight to the title shot.

That's what he thought, opinions can change. However, I thought Manon looked impressive, my opinion definitely changed. However, in my defense I changed my pic to Manon before the fight.

It wasn't super exciting but she outpointed a former champion so there's that. Rose beat Zhang twice. Think about that and Manon made it look pretty easy.

They might both be around 135lbs, but val carries more functional muscle weight. Rose is carrying some fat and will admit it herself.

IMO she looked good in the same way Holly Holm used to look good - able to stick to a game plan, very competent, great competitor and not gonna beat herself, but not impressive to an extent that makes her future fights must-see. In other words, she did what she was supposed to vs a smaller, 9-fingered and possibly not particularly hungry Rose.

As for Rose, hard not to question her future…she’s talked about not wanting to climb the mountain again in her former division, making you wonder how motivated she is. Add to that the clear size/strength issue when Manot was stuffing takedowns. I know her finger was fugged early on, so there’s that, but seems like dropping back down is her best bet if she’s still hungry

That size difference was the only thing that difference in the fight rose just can't hurt Manon with her shots where manon is causing more damage with hers. And rose not been able to take the fight to the ground was a big thing too.
