Okay Werdum got caught chasing Stipe. Clean and out cold... it was very hard to swallow. That said I know he will be back better than ever, Werdum has proven before that he learns from his mistakes. Tonight he made the biggest mistake of his life. Congrats Miocic, you proved me wrong.

That's what you get for making clown faces right before the fight and not taking your opponent seriously.

When your 38 you can't make these mistakes anymore. He doesn't have the time left to learn from a basic mistake you see all day in amateur MMA.

I doubt he can return "better than ever", this was a horrible time to show the worst fight IQ he ever has.

After the TKO of Hunt and demolition of Velasquez on the feet, I fear he has let his perceived striking abilities go to his head and forgotten the fundamentals of which got him to the belt.

He's 38 yrs old. Hes seen better days. Stipe would always ko him.

Miocic did not prove me wrong, i might have underestimated his power, but i knew this fight was his on feet. Reason is, you just don't "Improve" as much as you think as a striker if you're not understanding basics, and i never really saw our "BJJ" guys having the basics of striking down, as soon as stipe got his foot in and timed some jabs i knew he'd win, hope that teaches brazilian fighters that boxing is not muay thai without kicks and it fucking matters when it comes to mma. Learn that shit or pay, Werdum is a BJJ guy with very very poor hands...should happen if he tried to show off as he always did

At 38 his best days are behind him and this is the USADA era.

Exactly. Beating Roy and Browne the way he did didn't help either. Werdum thought he was OnBak tonight.

Maia developed skills/fighting skills to compliment his world class bjj. Werdum pulled a Ronda and thought he was a world class striker.

Based off what? Betting on Werdum to run hands down at him every time?

Not taking anything away from Stipe but Werdum was overconfident and reckless.

Based on werdum having inferior hands and striking and poor takedowns. Werdumbs only chance of winning this was by taking stipe down.

He would never be able to take miocic down who is a good wrestler and better athlete than him. I said miocic would box werdumb up and KO him if he didnt flop to the ground like he did against overeem.

Flabby Werdum got his ass beat. You're just making up excuses for a 39 year old shot Brazilian fighter.
