smh should of just pulled her leg back instead of doing that hip bounce thing

The hip sway back is pulling the lead leg back - the hip sway is to counter the loss of balance that causes and to avoid becoming flatfooted.

When a football manager loses a game he should have won because of a tactical mistake he made in arranging his team formation that the other side anticipated and planned to capitalise pn, he doesn't blame his loss on the booing the other teams fans did against his team or say he just made one mistake. He immediately realised the other side manager has read him like an open book and what else has he figured out ???

Zhang and her coach are supposed to be professionals- they have had more than enoigh time to act like that.

She didn't blame her loss on the booing. Not sure what the point of your post is.

Translation came off a little weird. She is just saying she isn't big headed and thinks she is some fighter that cannot lose. She is just sad that she worked so hard and the fight was so short.

If that's what she actually said then that is better than what the translated words suggest.

Zhang was not ko by random punch in a 50-50 exchange that could have ko namajunas instead.

Zhang was ko because her defective technique and bad habit had been spotted ahead of time by the other side and her opponent trainee to capitalise on it expecting her to react on demand if she gave thAt Feint. And zhang responded exactly as expected. Common sense should tell zhang that (1) if she doesn't fix that bad habit she may fall for that trick again out of pure instinct and (2) if she has one fatal bad habit, doesnahe have more that she was not even aware of???

That ko gave zhang actually far more useful information about herself than a 5 round fight against a fighter who didn't spot those weaknesses. Unfortunately zhang has not reached the point of realising that so it seems.

{<huh}

A 5 round fight where she is exposed to the entirety of Rose's game would tell her much more about herself and Rose than a single kick does. That's just common sense.

It's obvious you didn't actually listen to her interview or you would realize she is aware that mistaking a head kick for a leg kick is what cost her the fight.

Except that she would never get the entirety of the 5 round fight against namajunas because she fell for the first defect that namajunas team had anticipated. She wouldn't be able to go further because the first round already exposed a fatal defect. Do u understand that what cost her the fight was not some honest mistake-- it was an automatic instinctive reaction that she had consciously trained into her system but which contained bad technique that left her fatally open that she and her coaches all missed entirely.

If she wants to have more rounds she has to earn it by fixing the holes in her game.

I saw denial in that clip. She didn't acknowledge Rose skills at all, or the fact that Rose outsmarted her.
That's what I saw too, the same attitude that was the downfall of Joanna champion. She's not as awesome as she thinks she is. She needs to give credit to the fighter who is better, and then try harder.

It's a valid defense against some fighters. It's a terrible defense against an elite striker and athlete like Rose who can and will exploit something so blatant. It's very telling that Weili has said nothing about that being a problem, making a plethora of excuses, and not actually giving credit to Rose.

I think Rose will stiffen her again.

Not to mention if she had to take it to the ground the enormous advantage Rose would have.

It is used very often in muay thai by Thai nak muay very effectively. Some of the very greatest use it safely. However zhang has internalised that technique without similarly programming herself with the awareness of when to use it. When the range of the attacking limb is sufficiently far away it is safe. The safety can be enhanced by covering up. But zhang automatically used rhe evasion even though namajunas had closed to a dangerous range.

She didn't exactly use the word big headed but it's implied. It's the many people think I cannot afford to lose part that was translated a bit off. In general, she doesn't talk shit in her interviews. At most she will say that she plans to beat someone. She doesn't even shill hard for the CCP. I am waiting for the other Yan chick to get her title shot. She seems to come from prestigious pedigree in terms of her combat training. She might mouth off.
