Agreed. I think one of Chris's most glaring issues is his cardio post-USADA.

Although he doesn't seem like the type that cuts overwhelming weight, as my wrestling coach saids it, some people can cut more weight than others.

Also, his style is based on pressure, which probably isn't the most ideal given his propensity to gas out by round 3 in most of his fights post-USADA.

He gassed hard against Maia and Machida pre-USADA.

I thought Weidman won the first two, then he simply ran out of gas, and that's when Jacare started connecting. Pretty sure winning the first two only matters if you get to the end of the third, though.

Maybe he is “good” now, but at one time, he was great. You’re beyond dumb if you don’t think so. And the only people he has lost to have been other top 5 guys (and he still has a win over 1 of them). He isn’t MW Goat, anyone who thinks that is also dumb.

I guess people who are butthurt he beat Anderson have a hard time letting that one (or two) go.

In all honesty, there’s probably no fighter over the course of the last 6 years who has faced tougher comp than Weidman.

Maia, Munoz, Anderson 2x, Machida, Vitor, Rockhold, Yoel, Gegard, Gastelum, Jacare.

There isn’t a fighter on that list (maybe besides Yoel) that would take on that murderers row of fighters and make it out unbeaten.

I agree. You don't win fights by slightly out-working your opponent for 1 round and then get finished.

Weidman has big defensive problems and is not as sharp and dynamic as he was a couple years ago. He needs a step down in a competition right now if he ever wants to have a chance to rebuild himself. To his credit he has only been fighting absolute savages, so it's not like he's washed up.
