He was blackballed because he refused to do the "Batman Forever" film (due to creative differences).

I don't think it helped that the 90's was a hellishly bland era for blockbuster cinema that he never really fit into.

Hell yeah! I called this in a thread a while back, wish I could find it. My suggestion was Keaton as Bruce Wayne and Taylor Lautner from Twighlight as Terry. I know it's a weird pick but I think he's got the look from the cartoon and he's still young. I sure as fuck don't want to see some sort of high school scenario even if that was in the cartoon. That I would change.

Who voted No/other? Out yourselves you cowards

I never understood the hard-on for Michael Keaton as Batman, both of those movies were okayish. I hold nothing against Keaton personally and I truly enjoyed Desperate Measures (1998).
Batman the Movie was brilliant, Batman Returns was meh

I mean that's pretty much always the case isn't it? Batman Begins is the only film I'd say were Bruce is actually the main focus.
Probably true, but I would say there was a lot less development of Bruce Wayne/Batman in "Batman Returns" than there was in the 1989 installment.

I love Batman Returns but I can understand the critics of it. Either way, it has one of the most Batman moments ever put on film

Bruce is sitting alone in a dark corner just waiting, hoping, to be summoned. It’s so good

Absofuckinglutely

brilliant if done tastefully(obviously)

It lives in the shadow of the 1989 Batman film, but it's still pretty popular despite not being as good as the original.

I remember when they first did Batman Beyond my cousin as telling me how good it was and I had tell him to go watch the Batman animated series cause its better. I was impressed by Batman Beyond though it was good.
Well it's all apart of the DCAU, if you wanted to view and experience all of it you would've also had to get through Static Shock, Superman TAS, JL, JLU, etc.

Not sure how all of that is connected, but a Batman Beyond project would definitely be right for Michael Keaton right now.

Batman Rerurns was my most watched movie when I was 13.

I watched it a few years ago and it doesn't really hold up.

But, for the time, as an older millennial... Damn was it good.

Okay, they're willing to say anything they can to salvage FLASH apparently. Lord why is that movie so tough to get their arms around? Everyone loves speed-motion. Extreme tempo changes almost always sell. What's the hold-up?

Flash movie?

Don't waste Keaton's epic return as Bruce Wayne / Batman in a movie with a lame superhero.

Bringing him back as old-Batman in Batman Beyond would guarantee it'd make a billion dollars.
