Also, what do you mean she used private email accounts under assumed names? That's not what happened.

I don't know that Hillary used an assumed name, but members of the Obama administration definitely did. And HRC definitely used a homebrew server.

Let me be clear about something. I don't approve of any government official, regardless of administration, using private email, assumed names, or doing something to evade legally required or proper oversight. But I really believe that members of the Obama administration were particularly bad in this area, and Hillary Clinton explored entirely new frontiers of deception.

Your OP described Trump exercising bad security practice, but not doing anything that I would interpret as a conscious attempt to avoid accountability. This is a meaningful difference. Using a private email address or an insecure phone is not the right practice, but setting up a private email address under an assumed name and in particular a whole system that exists entirely outside the government network is another level all together.

Oh my, that's even worse than all the unsecured microwaves in the White House because Trump (probably) doesn't speak state secrets into his microwave.

I hate to say it guys, but it might be bad for the most powerful politician in the world to function this way when he's been accused of criminal activity, collusion with foreign governments and extremely suspicious financial dealings with other foreign governments. Also, I suspect he might not actually have one of the all-time great memories, so his recollection of these calls might not be as reliable as transcripts.

On a serious note, Trump is actually being forced to follow security guidelines against his will. Let's think about that for a second.

I guess he is just a chatty type president maybe he just goes sends a text message saying "Hey did you just see the news? latest star wars film bombed sad!" Or he could be trolling Macron or Merkel.
