I sincerely don't understand how most people don't see it this way30-27 Tibau, he outstruck Khabib 46-33 and outwrestled him. Khabib went 0/13 on takedowns

I had it for Jack-a-ray but yeah you know how them judges do.@Ares Black Do Yoel vs Jacare. I remember thinking it was a robbery, but it was years ago and I don't remember it well.
More than doing literally nothing? Going for a takedown takes guts because you are exposing yourself to gain an advantageous position. Just standing there defending takedowns is great, but if you’re not countering with takedown attempts of your own, your stalling. Sure he took Habib down once, but it wasn’t enough, and he did literally nothing with it.I sincerely don't understand how most people don't see it this way
13/13 takedowns defended is literally more effective grappling
Idk, seems like Tibau would've been comfortable outstriking Khabib on the feet. Khabib initiated at least 13 grappling exchanges, and HE did fuck all with them. Tibau controlled the grappling exchanges and exhibited superior grappling during their fight, as he defended 13/13 attempted takedowns while Khabib was successful 0/13 timesMore than doing literally nothing? At the end of the day who wins five minutes in the eyes of 3 different people is all that matters. I thought Khabib won 2 rds. It’s a good thing he did because it changed the course of the whole entire ufc And goat conversation. Imagine he lost that fight. Who fights la Quinta for interim? Who is current lw champ? He was coming for that belt no matter who had it.Idk, seems like Tibau would've been comfortable outstriking Khabib on the feet. Far as I can tell, Khabib tried to stall out the fight for the majority of it
Wtf? Takedown defense is its own reward, it doesn't score points. I think the rules are clear on this.I sincerely don't understand how most people don't see it this way

This guy is just looking for an excuse to slam Khabib. Doesn’t hold water, I am not a Khabib lover but how can you not love to watch him fight. Once he put it all together, there is not a person on this earth (his size) that can stop him. His striking defense is so underrated, I swear I have never seen him hit clean hard outside of the Gaethje fight. And he literally walked through it like nothing. He was another level. Love him or hate him.Wtf? Takedown defense is its own reward, it doesn't score points. I think the rules are clear on this.
Suppose as a one person spends an entire round shooting takedowns and the other person spends the whole round stuffing them, but no strikes are thrown or subs attempted. That round is either a 10-10 drawn round or 10-9 to the shooter if the takedown attempts count as effective aggression.
It wasn't remotely boring. And in retrospect it has proven itself to be an historic fight. Can you imagine a random fight from the pre lims by a veteran vs a 23 year old rookie from years ago being discussed and analysed to this extent years later and it was shockingly boring fight as well? Well, here it is.
You should be banned for false steroid accusationsLol at believing a Russian athlete isn't on some kind of PED
If Khabib was not who he was or if he had legitimately lost another fight later on I doubt people would still talk about Khabib-Tibau thoughIt wasn't remotely boring. And in retrospect it has proven itself to be an historic fight.
USADA also found jon jones not at fault. Hopefully everyone is consistent in honoring USADAs decisions
Oh definitely not. It's historic because of how Khabib's career went. It's the closest he's ever come to losing, despite the bizarre scorecards. If Khabib was not who he was or if he had legitimately lost another fight later on I doubt people would still talk about Khabib-Tibau though
This was the first fight of Khabib's i saw,and i thought to myself, man that kid did not give up no matter how hard it was to move that behemoth.Ok third and final round. Another super close one, and I can see why scores for this one were all over the place.
Tibau gets another quick takedown, but again doesn't do much with it.
Khabib is landing some wild haymakers. Tibau is bleeding, Khabib's cardio is relentless.
With a minute to go the fight is still up in the air. Joe and Goldie are talking like Tibau has already won. Dummies.
Khabib is hyperaggresive for the entire last minute and steals the round based on sloppy aggression. Tibau didn't do enough to win the round IMO.
10-9 Nurmagomedov
Winner is Nurmagomedov 29-28
I could see scoring it 30-27 Tibau or 29-28 for either guy. The one score I can't really see is 30-27 Khabib. Pretty hard to give him the 2nd.
Gutsy performance from Khabib. He won because of his cardio, aggression, and heart.
Final verdict: Weird scores, but no robbery. Fun fight to watch. Khabib has come so far.
Yeah I think that's a big reason why the judges gave him every round. Strictly based on scoring criteria it's debatable who won, but Khabib was just trying so hard the entire fight. He wanted it more than Tibau did, and it really showed. This was the first fight of Khabib's i saw,and i thought to myself, man that kid did not give up no matter how hard it was to move that behemoth.
