It's interesting when that happens, eh?hey man. i actually have a fight for you to rewatch and score. its one of the times i had a different score than i did live. Jake shields vs Tyron woodley. live it made perfect sense as to why jake won. but another poster and i debated and he told me to rewatch it. came back and told him i was wrong, woodley should have won that fight
Congratulations on the Blue Belt, Sherbro!Lol at believing an American athlete isn't on some kind of PED
If you're bored, you're boring.ODDER to call this fight not boring.
If you're bored, you're boring.
it took me like 2 years to addmit frankie lost the first benson fight......even after scoring it 3-2 benson. "fuck it frankie gets the 3rd cause i say so"It's interesting when that happens, eh?
I remember watching the Edgar-Munhoz fight live and thinking that the judges got it right and Edgar won. When I rewatched it it seemed pretty clear that Munhoz did.
That's one of the reasons why I think its funny when people have really strong opinions and cry robbery over a fight they watched once, possibly drunk, with biased commentary. A lot of fights are close and open to interpretation, especially high-level fights.
Already has top tier USADA defense. He should be able to get far with that.
I'll watch Woodley-Shields tonight and get back to you.it took me like 2 years to addmit frankie lost the first benson fight......even after scoring it 3-2 benson. "fuck it frankie gets the 3rd cause i say so"
Frankie def won the second fight thoit took me like 2 years to addmit frankie lost the first benson fight......even after scoring it 3-2 benson. "fuck it frankie gets the 3rd cause i say so"
no doubt no doubtFrankie def won the second fight tho
Meldonium is a heart drug. It's used to treat ischemia. Khabib does not have a heart problem and doesn't use it. Islam does have a heart problem and used it. That's why he got flagged and not Khabib when USADA put it on it's list in 2016.
Most famous athlete to get flagged for it was Maria Sharapova.
RDA is just a butthurt fighter talking trash
Well, I rewatched the fight, and I can see a case for each guy. Woodley had the bigger moments but Shields was much more active and dictated where the fight happened.hey man. i actually have a fight for you to rewatch and score. its one of the times i had a different score than i did live. i had jake 2-1 live. i gave tyron 2 rounds upon rewatching. he had a nice spinning backfist some were if i remember right. sucks close fights like that people only remember who got the W.Well, I rewatched the fight, and I can see a case for each guy. Woodley had the bigger moments but Shields was much more active and dictated where the fight happened.
R1- Woodley had the biggest moment of the round when he knocked Shields off balance with a leg kick, and he landed a few punches. Shields was grinding the whole round, constantly throwing little kicks at range and knees in the clinch. Really tough round to score, but I gave it to Shields based largely on activity and octagon control. He was pushing the pace. When a round is really close I ask myself who is closer to what they want to be doing. Looking at it like that, Shields was playing his game, and Woodley was not. When Woodley managed to make some space he was more effective, but Shields mostly smothered him. 10-9 Shields
R2- Easiest round to score for me. Fairly close round, but Woodley set the tone early with another leg kick knockdown and a big overhand right. Woodley looked stronger in the clinch, and Shields wasnt able to implement his game as much. Not a great round, lots of stalemate clinching. Crowd was booing. Woodley showed better striking and had the much bigger moments in an otherwise close, kinda boring round. 10-9 Woodley, 19-19.
R3- Another weird clinchy round. Shields has thrown hundreds of little knees in the clinch. Tyron is weirdly passive and looks kinda gassed. This is not a good fight, and the crowd is booing like crazy. Woodley has the biggest moment of the round when he lands a clean backfist, but Shields eats it. Great chin on him. More clinching, more little knees, more booing. Shields reverses against the cage in the last minute and finishes strong. I think if Woodley had done anything in addition to the backfist he would have won the round, but Shields was relentless and outworked him. Third round was a pretty bad round. Very ugly at times. Still, I scored it 10-9 Shields based on his workrate and finishing strong.
29-28 Shields, but 30-27 Woodley is not unreasonable. Not a great fight. Gutsy performance from Shields, disappointing performance from Woodley.
I didn't know that, but either way, the explanation for popping made sense. Sorry it's not in my head anymore man.
@Ackmed what was the explanation given by Makhachev for his positive test on meldonium?
Wait, outwrestled khabib just because khabib couldnt secure a single takedown? Or you're talking about the "takedown" from tibau? Did you even watch the "takedown"?30-27 Tibau, he outstruck Khabib 46-33 and outwrestled him. Khabib went 0/13 on takedowns

That's probably true, but i wasn't talking about Islam getting the benefit of the doubt from any comission, but mostly about the fact that the reasons he came out with actually made sense and it wasn't your typical "tainted meat" stuff. You know the athletic commission also accepted the excuse from Ubereem, that when he popped it was due to medication. He never was convicted for doing PEDs, only negligence.

That does make sense too.It was more to show that a lot of athletes who are serious about doping or guided by someone who is serious and knowledgeable about it, that they often make sure they always have a believable excuse prepared in case they do get caught.
That does make sense too.
It's probably why i can't ever get that much behind Islam as a fighter.
I'm relatively inclined to believe he's truthful but there always remains a shadow of doubt for me i guess, which is a shame, because he's obviously a very good fighter.
