Do you really believe he ever had any real passion for the sport beyond making money? His original career goal was to be a boxing promoter, when that didn't work out he turned to MMA and found the right investors in the Fertitas.

I don't think the guy who on his own created Powerslap, has a deep affection for actual martial arts.

Ofc he’s driven by money, but i do think back in the Anderson-GSP era at least he also loved the sport. I think most of us feel the same way. I used to watvh every single card back in the days, the hype, fights, everyhing felt different. Now its dead, i look more at sherdog then the fights. Mma is going downhill for a while, no exciting fighters, bunch of entitled divas that never fight. No talent upcoming, all the best are at the top at 759 yr old and just there for paychecks. I don't expect them to re-sign Dana when he fights out the rest of his contract. 1/1/26 is the new broadcasting deal and the end of the UFC run for Dana and Joe Rogan. He is just phoning it in now and can't wait to spend more time promoting boxing with Turki, gambling, going to rodeos, etc.
