It's a fantasy match up thread. The Wasteland is the proper section for those types of threads.

So where is the fantasy in my thread? A fact never can be fantasy, otherwise a fact itself wouldn't be a fact. Please show me one fantasy in this thread http://forums.sherdog.com/forums/f44...guide-2036145/

This is real fantasay and this thread still is active in the UFC section: http://forums.sherdog.com/forums/f2/rogan-defends-his-comments-about-rousey-2962281/

But anyway I don't want that thread to be removed to wasteland, I just don't understand this 'fantasy' thing.

I made a thread about the Spanish teacher getting 6-15 years for doing her 15 year old student in a classroom, I made it before I went to bed so granted I didn't see if the thread got hijacked or not but just curious why it got deleted?

Good day bud.

I took a peek, and the notes indicate it was left open for a few hours, but the content got a bit too sketchy with the comments around an under ager having sex, so it was closed down.

Ah fair enough, was just curious, thanks :)

Those threads always get deleted.

It's not like there's anything to be said about it that hasn't been said a 1000 times already.

I for one will never get tired of

Not my thread, but ~20 of my posts were purged all within minutes.

I notice mine missing from http://forums.sherdog.com/forums/f2/aldo-doubters-let-your-names-known-2963197/ (I cast my name in the doubter list saying Aldo is fucked when he faces Conor);

http://forums.sherdog.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2964847 (made a comment about how Aldo's going to be obliterated here with a play on Conor's head clean off saying and cryogenic machines - aren't tons of people doing the same about Conor?);

and http://forums.sherdog.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2964855 (I agreed with another user about TJ taking lopsided damage in a hypothetical match with Conor - he said TJ will be eating out of straws and I added a colostomy bag would too be necessary - his post is still up);

and http://forums.sherdog.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2964381 (it was just a friendly discussion in an inherently non-serious thread and posts that quoted mine have remained in there and didn't create any problems - in fact they meshed in pretty well);

and http://forums.sherdog.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2961753 (As both an Edmond and Rousey fan, I submitted my approval of Edmond's cornering through referencing a renowned doctor I've researched a lot on - what could be wrong with that?);

http://forums.sherdog.com/forums/f2/pro-mma-new-york-update-2962535/ (made fun of culinary unions and their desperateness here and referenced The Leftovers series - how can that be an offense especially on here when they're damning the type of content or its versatility/freshness we all want?);

http://forums.sherdog.com/forums/f2/police-arrest-worlds-most-prolific-uploader-ufc-content-2961761/ (metaphorically made fun of someone stealing Dana's valuables and leaving evidence here);

http://forums.sherdog.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2962281 (explained the difference between defending an idea and a person and why they don't have to overlap and the importance of integrity here - the person even replied to me and it was totally fine between us);

http://forums.sherdog.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2961005 (posted a pic in celebration like many other users in here).

I haven't been flaming or full of vitriol or anything. I don't even post that much and when I do it's more often than not playful. =S What's wrong? I just come here, have a few laughs and leave, rinse and repeat.

The weird thing about this is I'm even trying carefully not to provoke individuals. I remember a post I made maybe a month back and I edited it out, reported it saying upon contemplation it's pretty rude and I'd rather not do that.

Conversely, I've gotten less-than-nice comments directed my way but I never fired back.

What confuses me even more is I can go back in almost all those threads and see a number of actual hate-filled comments, flames, etc. that are left up and untouched, but my light-hearted ones got purged.

Yeah, that's weird.

Although I will say that what you claim you posted and what you actually posted are not one in the same.

Besides, you've been banned 4 times already.

Be glad that you still have the ability to post.

"It's spring now - I'll take my snow shoes off and put my truth shoes on: Aldo is fucked."

I just cast my name as a doubter.

http://forums.sherdog.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2964847
Don't remember in exact: conflated a pool table and cryogenic machines from Aldo's unwitting PoV for fun - said there's no cryonic insurance in Brazil so it's better Conor takes his head off in USA.

http://forums.sherdog.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2964855
"And attached to a colostomy bag."

That's literally all I wrote.

http://forums.sherdog.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2964381
"I'll watch Mystic River with Jin and DyinHawaiian for cathartic value. We'll cry it out together."

That was my first post in verbatim.

Someone quoted me teasing it's the reaction we'd have to Conor's embedded videos.

I replied with something like "The jazz from Conor's embedded videos far exceed that movie." Compared it to a fairy tale, ended post with "You can't tarnish it no matter what because Conor's magic is in the grassroots.

http://forums.sherdog.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2961753
I said "Dr. Francis Collins should drop his work on the genome project and find a way to permanently alter people's inner voices to someone else's. I'd choose Edmond's."

What is wrong with the praise I gave? I can't even compliment the guy?

http://forums.sherdog.com/forums/f2/pro-mma-new-york-update-2962535/
Something very close to "Most chefs smoke, right? Maybe they could wear all white and smoke to protest like the retards from The Leftovers (inserted pic)."

http://forums.sherdog.com/forums/f2/police-arrest-worlds-most-prolific-uploader-ufc-content-2961761/
"Sir Paul played with the Dana's trumpet and spilled his essence on the dusty floor - he will be remembered."

What? I just made fun of the poor sap for getting caught with property red-handed.

http://forums.sherdog.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2962281
"One needn't like a person in order to defend an idea. He's an ambassador for truth and has diplomatic immunity from you, infidel!"

Just pointed out that ideas and people don't necessarily overlap in defense constituents and the person replied taking it well. So what?

http://forums.sherdog.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2961005
I'm pretty sure I only posted a pic here for celebration. If I accompanied it with any text, I don't remember since it's far back, but I struggle to think it was anything bad.

---

So not only have I given you exact quotes to counter your suggestion that I'm being misleading, I'm giving you the ideas and intentions behind them. I just don't get what's wrong with them.

As for the ban: once. If I had to make a new account either way, why wouldn't I just do it under a different IP or something so my history doesn't follow me? Especially if I were banned four times? (Really, it was just that one.) Since you handed it out, I specifically asked to run it by you if I were allowed back, so as not to side-step you at all. I even have that saved. My thought was if you're okay with granting a second chance, having one account's history attached is totally fine by me.

The spot I'm in right now: I am genuinely curious what was so troublesome about some playful posts, and the answer you gave omits that and refers to history and I'm left none the wiser as to what I did wrongly in present.

Speaking of which, I made a concerted effort to distance myself on this account from what landed me in trouble before. No lewd comments whatsoever - I don't even comment on anything related to female appearance.

I'm trying, man. I don't know why you're painting me out to be disingenuous. If permission is what got back me here, it wouldn't behoove me to do that. By and large I remember what I posted.

May I at least get the posts I've highlighted in red restored? If I had to prioritize, those would be it. I provided exact quotes for each of them, too. They were completely innocuous.

yeah, yeah, a few less of these posts then.

"Sir Paul played with the Dana's trumpet and spilled his essence on the dusty floor - he will be remembered."

Just put aside the esoteric metaphors and comments in the fight forum threads. It's trolling and thread hijacking, hence the 'less-than-nice comments directed my way' from the other posters.

And you had 3 prior bans, not 4, my bad. Two of them, Impeach Obama and Mantis333, never got off the ground, which is probably why you don't remember them.

Oh, got it. My bad. Didn't recall whatsoever. Yeah they didn't take off.

The example you pointed out didn't even get quoted by anyone - it was a tiny blip in a huge thread. I didn't hijack.

What's wrong with putting a little creative touch on things, though? That example might have been too obscure/esoteric and I understand, but the other ones? One thread was about a poster here, not even a fighter. The thread was framed to just take the piss out of him, and he was cool with that. He's a friend of mine. Is saying we'll watch some sad movie in a thread created about a user bad?

No one quoted/it wasn't hijacked by the Edmond comment either. Before posting, I just wanted to play around with the idea of inner voices since the thread was about a cornering voice I approved of, so I thought why not just reference a renowned scientist? The message was clear: I dug the voice and wouldn't mind having more of it. Just a little creative touch.

The Aldo doubter thread: tons of people made a comment to the effect of "this or this guy is absolutely going to get screwed". Lots of guys were adamant in their support for one, which is inevitable from a thread framed to cast doubt votes. I was very clear: I said Aldo is fucked - that part isn't different from pretty much everyone else in the thread. And it was the eve of the spring season - surely it isn't esoteric or hijacking to simply reference that? I say why not just add a little creative touch - why does everything have to be vanilla?

---
I've only explained the three I please ask you to restore, but honestly, so many of them just boil down to adding some creative touch. It's a forum with thousands of people - why have everything be totally cookie-cutter and uniform? What's wrong with writing a little differently as long as the message is there? The tone wasn't bad.

And I don't mind the less-than-nice comments - I only pointed them out to say I'm not trying to stir trouble. I've had plenty of pleasant comments too. I'm not complaining about the user base - just saying my part in it hasn't been problematic insofar as discourse. I just don't get why everything has to be super serious.

There's a thread in support where you can ask why a thread was moved. The mod that moved it should answer in there. It's stickied at the top if you'd like to know.

So I'm here now. Sorry, wasn't here yesterday, he stickied it at the top? Not a PC expert so don't know what that means. LMAO.

Anyway, I figured my thread was legit. I asked a legitimate question if other people felt the way I felt. Conors talking sort of wore me down that I can't stand the fighter anymore, this while I like his fighting style and I support all European fighters in the Octagon. Asked if other people went from supporting him to well................... now leaning towards his opponent. >.<

Yes, I know. My English is ''poo''. But you get the point. This is the thread that was Wastelanded after I think 10 seconds.

There are no less than 7 threads currently in the UFC forum on the topic of the UFC 189 press conference.

You could have posted in any one of them and not started another thread.

Thread for me wasn't about the presser. Maybe a misleading title? Not really, this was the first press-conference of Conor I couldn't finish watching. Everything leading up to the press conference, footage from Dana White, McGregor, Aldo sort sickened me. It was about me no longer being a fan, can no longer support this type of behavior. Asked if others felt the same way. Fan off. ;)

Was about the fact someone can take it a step too far. Even though I like the fighter and his style I just can't support the act, the disrespect and everything. First time I ever had it this bad with a fighter. In past fights always supported Conor, but I don't feel I can do this any longer. 99 percent of the times when a European fighter faces an American/Brazilian I'll support the European (because there are so few of them in the UFC or MMA in general, with European I don't mean Russian by the way :p ). The more I see of Conor the less I like him and the more I'm leaning towards Aldo.

Guess the thread was wastelanded because of this? Aah well. Misleading title to some, I guess.

why do threads about bad cops keep getting deleted? there was one about a cop killing a service dog today and its gone, Does the warroom mod have a cop relative or something?

although the thread about brave police officers doesnt get deleted http://forums.sherdog.com/forums/f54/brave-police-officers-2970207/

Edit: went off the rails yesterday and got a bit emotionally charged in the thread. Had something similar happen when I was younger. My bad people.

Threads about bad police officers aren't against the rules, it's just that some topics tend to escalate and either bring a large number of Infractions or start turning into a flame war. Happens quite often with pitbull, feminism, and tipping threads as well.
