Site owners are decreasing the size of the database by removing threads with no activity for the past few years.
This is to facilitate the migration of the database to new software as the current database is far too large.

Dammit, I was proud of that thread. There was some quality back-n-forth discussion. Ended up giving me a much greater appreciation for Ken Shamrock, actually.

From the looks of it, you can access each page on that 'Google webcache' thing.
If it's possible, we gotta get that one back. Thanks.

Probably the funniest thread Iv ever read on sherdog. No doubt top 5. I went to look thru it again and noticed it was deleted. Here is the old link:

Anyone know what happened to this thread? Any hopes of getting it restored? I remember Kimble saved that Cung Le shoop thread with Wanderlei KOing the twin towers, surely this one couldnt have been so bad?
 
Damn that sucks. I told Kimble she should have archived it, I think she opted for the Cung thread instead. I have some of the shoops saved on my computer but the part with sherdoggers failing at fractions will be forever lost :icon_sad:

It blows goats. Plenty of great (and not-so-great) stuff is just gone without warning.

The forum software is going to be changed sometime this Month. Unfortunately, many threads have quietly disappeared without warning these last two weeks.

Different software, from vbulletin to Xenforo.

Free, but no where near the functionality and add-on's we need for this forum, also we need to be able to transfer this database, which Xenforo allows us to do .
In addition, we get a FAR better mobile version which will be intergrated with the new Sherdog app.

Security is also a risk at this size and Xenforo is updated quite often

There are a lot of factors involved in the choice, but it is a move that needs to be done as we are rocking 3.x.x version of vBulletin and it is getting pretty dated.

I like phpBB, and it's great for small forums and as a first time software
