I just want to pop in and say a ton of my old Anime and Manga threads have also disappeared. I went to go look at the first one (IIRC our five year anniversary is later this month, didn't remember the exact day and wanted to make a big post about it) and found that the first fifteen (from sometime in '13 and earlier) no longer exist. They aren't even listed under my created threads list.
 
There was a thread in the Heavies titled something akin to "Can Chambers pull out an upset?" what happened to it? it wasn't my thread, but had posted in it. No evidence in my post history, couldn't find it in the search function
 
Site owners are decreasing the size of the database by removing threads with no activity for the past few years.
This is to facilitate the migration of the database to new software as the current database is far too large.

I understand it's beyond your power.
But many threads were recent that were lost ?
 
It's an absolute shitshow, most threads ever created have been suddenly deleted.

They just deleted a gigantic chunk of sherdog history without even giving us mods a heads up.

We could have at least been told ahead of time, so we could save some of the important threads for people.

looks like those are back.

I'm not sure how the process goes and don't have much info, but word is we are changing forum software and it was done to facilitate that.

Possible that threads can be restored later but dunno yet.

Sorry I can't elaborate more.
 
I made a thread on mayberry regarding a black lab getting abused by a young female and it got deleted

This is upsetting since her not getting charged with anything is bad enough but the fact that she receives no attention is another.

I am wondering what was wrong with the thread?
 
Not my thread but what's the deal with deleting the electric car thread in P&M?

It wasn't merged.... it's not in the Wasteland... I get this notice on Sherdog when I click from Google: "No Thread specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator"

I'm guessing the tech team just deleted it with the rest of the threads. If you go back a page you'll see some more info about it. Sorry. It's probably gone for good. :icon_sad:
