There seems to be two frames of woke. One side thinking it means simple social justice, advocating for equity in addressing systemic inequalities. The other viewing it as an over emphasis on these things while prioritizing equity and fairness over equality, sort of an extreme poltical correctness.

It feels simple though in the sense that equity isnt compatible with classical liberalism. So conservatives do have a point. Also in terms of woke types having a sociopathic tendency of intolerance and the attacking of non conformists, especially online. However it also gets to the point where people are so anti woke that they ignore colonalism, or real racial inequality as a result.

I think the issues with 'acknowledging colonialism' is it actually ignores most colonialism and focuses entirely on white European colonialism and also it's hypocritical. If we actually acknowledge that we stole the natives land, let's give it back to them. Dissolve the government and let the natives rule.

I didn't watch much of it, but I think they brought up the natives fighting each other before the Europeans arrived. UFC is about as non-woke as it gets.

As far as I know, the average Mexican is a bit under half Spanish. So I'm not sure how much sense it makes to bring up the natives fighting against the Europeans as the example of the original Mexican fighting spirit. I suppose they were referring to the people from Mexico, which would've been the natives at the time.
