Past prime MM? He he was just coming off one of his most spectacular victories lolFight IQ, submission grappling and the clinch. Cejudo won a questionable decision against a slightly past prime MM.
And so was Fedor when he went into the Arlovski fight doesn't mean their prime wasn't over. Not all fighters decline like falling off a cliff.Past prime MM? He he was just coming off one of his most spectacular victories lol
DJ was also fighting with a torn LCL in that fight.I just wached DJ x Cejudo II recently and seemed to me Cejudo reached the same, if not higher, level than Might Mouse
DM had a better bjj but not enough to submt Cejudo. In wrestling Henry was cleary superior and in striking the difference was miminum. Both had speed, power and IQ pretty similar
Which were the fighters better than Moraes at 135 back then? He did only two fights there is...Cejudo was definitely on the rise and performing very well, but he also avoided virtually every top contender in their prime at 135, with the exception of Moraes (which didn't age well).
I think Cejudo was eager to stop challenging himself once he reached his mid thirties, so more power to him for retiring when he did. He should have stayed there. Returning hasn't been good for him.
DJ is FLW GOAT.
Cejudo is still a beast, though.
Yan, Sterling, etc. my point was that he retired very suddenly, winning only 2 fights ever at 135Which were the fighters better than Moraes at 135 back then? He did only two fights there is...
Me tooI've watched that fight 3xs and every time scored it 4-1 for Cejudo. Never quite understood the controversy on that one.
Henry won due to stalling and being on top. But I didn't see him as an equal skill wise to MM.I just wached DJ x Cejudo II recently and seemed to me Cejudo reached the same, if not higher, level than Might Mouse

Yep, but not always the winner in a fight defines who is the best. What makes the comparision difficult is the difference in the amount of fights the two had at their peakThey were both in their prime for the rematch…. Cejudo won. End of story
All the revisionist history MM fangirls can cry about it, doesn’t change facts
