Was prime Henry Cejudo at the same DJ level?

Cejudo left when he was at an absolute peak/beast of a fighter

Very bad in hind-sight thinking he could easily reach that level again

I feel like if he had stayed instead of “mini-retire” he could smashed plenty of heads

Past prime MM? He he was just coming off one of his most spectacular victories lol
And so was Fedor when he went into the Arlovski fight doesn't mean their prime wasn't over. Not all fighters decline like falling off a cliff.

They were both great, but had wildly different careers.

IMO Mighty Mouse is the most technically brilliant fighter in the sport's history.

Cejudo is one of the most gifted competitive minds, and a phenominal athlete.

Cejudo was definitely on the rise and performing very well, but he also avoided virtually every top contender in their prime at 135, with the exception of Moraes (which didn't age well).

I think Cejudo was eager to stop challenging himself once he reached his mid thirties, so more power to him for retiring when he did. He should have stayed there. Returning hasn't been good for him.

I just wached DJ x Cejudo II recently and seemed to me Cejudo reached the same, if not higher, level than Might Mouse

DM had a better bjj but not enough to submt Cejudo. In wrestling Henry was cleary superior and in striking the difference was miminum. Both had speed, power and IQ pretty similar
DJ was also fighting with a torn LCL in that fight.

DJ has a knockout win over Cejudo, while the best Cejudo managed was going 50-50 with a compromised DJ.

The title of this thread sounds like cejudo is spinning records.

Is ccc better than Deadmaus?

dj did way more damage in that fight and henry just held on doing nothing

Which were the fighters better than Moraes at 135 back then? He did only two fights there is...

I don't know about Cejudo, but Ian McCall got robbed vs MM

I've watched that fight 3xs and every time scored it 4-1 for Cejudo. Never quite understood the controversy on that one.

Pretty tough style match for Dj , but I thought DJ won the rematch and think Henry is a level below DJ

Henry won due to stalling and being on top. But I didn't see him as an equal skill wise to MM.

They were both in their prime for the rematch…. Cejudo won. End of story

All the revisionist history MM fangirls can cry about it, doesn’t change facts

Yep, but not always the winner in a fight defines who is the best. What makes the comparision difficult is the difference in the amount of fights the two had at their peak
