The majority of the Pride folk weren't in their prime when they came to the UFC.

Clearly a troll thread, however, I have been watching every pride event in order on fight pass and I have got to say, a lot of these "legends" definelty are overrated on here.
Like Wanderlei for example.
Dude had to be the most one dimensional fighter ever.
Only chance at winning fights was if you were stupid enough to brawl with him or were just a totally outmatched bum.

Just watched arona take him down at will with mediocre take downs and out strike him in a laughably bad stand-up battle.

There were a few pioneers and gems in Pride for sure, but most of the roster was not UFC caliber.

Steroids weren't illegal there. So everybody that a fighter beat was on steroids too. Which actually levels the playing field a lot more than what we have now, no?

No, At that time, Pride had more talent. Allot of those Pride Fighters were in their prime before they came to UFC.

Liddell was a boss in the ufc yet he got beaten down by Rampage. Bustamante did pretty damn well and flopped in pride. Rampage, Shogun, Werdum and Nog were pride guys who did well until father time took over. I can make ufc guys look bad as well.... But honestly, imo it was a different era and a different setup ( ring ) under different rules. Neither are overrated or “sucked”.

Pride wasn't overrated on it's time. It was best paying organization for the fighters. During that time UFC tournament winners made 50k, Pride 200 gp had prize of 200k. Mr. Rickson Gracie made 1 000k for his debut in Pride, 1997. That was outstanding in 1997. That started to bring best of the best fighters to Pride.

You should go watch some UFC 1997-2007 and then start making comparisons.

What does earpiece got to do with anything. Many company CEO's use earpieces, you can't take them seriously? Can you?
Do I still think that the golden era of MMA was Pride era, that's an opinion, and I think it was. You might say I am overrating Pride. But hey that's my opinion. Was it perfect? Was there any fishy moments? Maybe, Maybe not,

You can like Miami's backyard brawls, and think they are greatest MMA organization ever. But for me Pride represents that. I hope they could make organization like that.

Some people have mention roids, back in the day, when we used terms No Rules, ( i know there were rules actually), There wasn't rules against roids. So you can't take credibility of the organization towards that case. Back then people wanted to see best fighters fighting best, roids or not roids,
