Was Pride the most overrated organisation ever?

it was the most entertaining. ufc was usually bland and boring especially after all these corporate deals. pride knew how to put on a show or freakshow depending on the event.

He was good but overhyped. Everybody gets injuries
When you are the best in the world and then 5 years later do it again, that's not overhype. Best fighter in the world is not overhype. Running through 4 top 10 fighters in a year to win arguably the most stacked tournament in MMA history is not hype. Fighting in arguably the GOAT MMA fight against another legend in Hendo also shows Shogun is not overhyped. He also beat a few young guys in his older zombie years. He is not overrated. Properly rated. LHW is hard as hell to rank. A lot of the legends have similar resumes but everyone has Shogun top 5 all time.

No, it was amazing. Some freak show and non-essential fights mixed in with the most important in the world at the time.

IMO, Pride had some of the most epic fights ever even though it was back in the dark ages of MMA. Just had a very different energy and feel to it.

There are a number of reasons why some fighters didn’t find the same success in the UFC when they came over from Pride.

Many of them had been through some real wars and weren’t the same fighters anymore. Then there’s also the rule change (no soccer kicks, knees to the head, etc) that disadvantaged some like Wanderlei. Also, MMA was evolving so rapidly back then that the game quickly passed many of them by.

And of course there’s one reason that no one ever talks about....USADA.

Lol this lame troll attempt should go to the wasteland where it belongs

Remind me, how well did Chuck fare after Pride guys came over? How did Randy do against Nog? Rich Franklin?

Muck like the UFC guys I just mentioned, a lot of the Pride guys were at the tail end of their careers.

This thread again. You know, even though the overall skill level was lower in PRIDE compared to today's UFC, it was just so much more fun and chaotic.

Brings me back to another point, most of them were on steroids. I mean half of these guys have tested positive. So an organisation where most guys use steroids and the referees wears an earpiece
Bro shael was on 16 peds for his silva fight i believe lmao
