Was DC a better boxer than Fedor?

Prime Fedor not gonna win any body building competitions ….but he was a slob lol
Even in later yrs when he got fatter, he obviously had muscle underneath that fat. His hip movement was insane. Got to have an insane core strength to do the things he did.

Fedor stood with Prime Crocop and won. Has DC ever fought an elite striker in their prime, and kept it standing? He wouldn't box with Derrick Lewis ffs

This is like pointing out that Georges scared Pierre stood with Thiago Alves..

Yeah he did fine in the stand up. But mostly because of the take down risk

While Fedor was very easy to takedown. Randleman did it. Chael. Rampage, i still don't see how does DC wins beyond that.
DC has very good control on the ground. His whole game was to hit a takedown past the guard and ride the opponent. DC uses timing to hit a single to a high crotch or sweep. He also has trips and suplexes.

Those older Gen. fighters stayed in guard and worked from there. Honestly, I don't think Randleman or Coleman knew how to pass guard properly. Most of the guys you named are power double guys. They aren't chain wrestlers with great control or submission awareness. DC was also very conservative with his head placement when he took people down. There weren't many opportunities to attempt subs on him because of his positioning. I am not saying DC is some ground wizard, but he understood which positions in a fight were completely safe for him. You aren't going to armbar him when you don't have guard.

I've been here forever and don't troll... but I played myself by saying ive watched Fedors fights and for the majority of his career he was primarily a grappler?
Because he wasnt primarily a grappler. He wielded the full spectrum of an MMA arsenal, which is why he became the GOAT, and united the warring slavic clans.

Fedor threw how many kicks in his carrier?

Not so many at first. He didnt really need them , but he made them count when he did which all that really matters, like when he smashed Fujita with the body kick. He used them to great effect against Mirko and Jeff Monson, and also had a healthy bit of flying stomps against Nog in the third fight.

But lets just make them not count. Like Korean Zombie only got one twister, so he might as well not have done one at all.

okay sorry Fedor was primarily a striker god that went 29 and 0 just kickboxing because of his unbelievable striking luckily he had great grappling but he never had to use it because he was the best striker in mma history... basically like Anderson Silva... but better

Not sayin he was primarily anything. He was an MMA fighter who could do it all.

But as far as being the best at anything? yes it was him.

Also you forgot to mention that he was the Stary Oskol chess playing champion for his whole adult life, and also probably at the Accordion but im not the best judge on that.

It's safe to assume tho.

But why was he so easy to take down if he was as strong as you say. Randleman took him down instantly and randleman had a complete stalemate against Rampage

He is definitely a better boxer. Fedor is more effective in overall MMA striking but he was also brawling a lot.

Those two were really good takedown artists who were strong and fast enough to get in on him and lift him up.

I would have to rewatch the fight with Rampage but IIRC he just ran him to the turnbuckle like he did with Mirko. He didnt attempt to lift him.

Fedor had potential as shown in the Cro Cop fight(which was more of an MMA performance instead of pure striking performance) but he wasn't as good striking as his fans like you to believe.

He completely avoided striking with Schilt and Hunt knowing they'd have taken his head off. He had major issues standing against some of the worst strikers ever in Fujita and Rogers. A MW in his 40s outbrawled him and had him holding on for dear life, Hendo.

He ducked Ubereem which said it all.

And once Fedor got older and lost his speed and explosiveness he didn't have much technique to fall back on. A washed MW who boxed before competely picked him apart and beat the hell out of him for several rounds and got robbed.

Rampage and randleman had a stalemate. Rampage, while very strong, is hardly the strongest of them all

He completely avoided striking with Schilt
Lets face it. Why would ANYONE strike with someone who is 6 foot 10 who was notoriously easy to take down due to his extremely long legs?

Machida avoided striking with Sam Greco. That doesn't mean Machida was a worse striker than him, he just played his cards right. Same with fedor.
