Ive seen ppl get their eye ball scratched with the eye open, we all have seen the eye instantly be red, but the doctor said the eye ball was good, we could hear it in the corner, the doctor straight up said he had no concerns about the eye ball or the "globe" i think he used, this seems really soft shit(seems), i know ppl get mad when someone questions a fighter and if they can continue or not, but we have seen thousands of eye pokes, this one did not look like how the ones who ended fights usually look, the main issue was he did not even react when the poke happened that it was that brutal, he did not fall down instantly, or scream or gesture, he just casual walked to the side, it looked like he was still fighting up until the ref gave him time for the eye poke.

This is a strange one imo, from looking at the replays i felt like the other eye got poked even harder than the one he said he cant see from or open...

Tom did have his eyes closed. I think he may have gotten his nose broken and that's why there was so much blood. He was looking for a way out after that. Look at DC and Stipe the way they poked each other and kept on fighting. Those looked way worse than this.

Even if u close ur eye and someone pushes against ur eye lid and then he pushed more into his eye lid … it was gross and it would potentially damage ur eye. Your eye lids are not a bulletproof vest.

i did not say that his eyes are bulletproof or anything of that sort, but this eye poke does not look like the 100s or thousands of other eye pokes we have seen, especially the ones that ended fights... everything about this eye poke looked wrong, including Tom's reaction to it... it looked like he was willing to keep fighting if the ref did not stop the fight, there was a few seconds were they kept going before it was paused. On top of all this, the other eye actually looked like it was scraped or pushed in, the one he said he could not open look like nothing happened to it besides simply getting touched, it does not look like it went inside, nor that it was scratched, and it was closed prior which should at the very least help mitigate what little damage that it looked like it might have caused.

Again, i know we are on the couch and what the fuck do we know, yes im just saying how this looked from the outside perspective, even the doctor said he noticed no damage to the eye ball, we could hear that thru the ref's mic, doctor cleared him, this eye poke stoppage does not look like any of the ones who we have seen in years past that actually end fights, this looked like by far the softest one we have seen in a while, i figured he would take a couple minutes to get his gas tank back up and move on, he clearly was losing the round, and if his nose was broken, imo this would explain the reason why he quit(in my personal opinion).

The replays IMO are only making this look worse, more and more replays show exactly what ive stated in this thread, it hardly looks like a poke, much less one that should stop any fight, again just an opinion from the couch, but i feel like its a popular one.

You might be right. Unfortunately we will never know.

Yes, this coward and duck faked the injury, it's obvious to all smart people, only Asp fangirls desperately try to argue.
