Was anyone else annoyed by Derek Brunson celebration after beating Leben?

I usually don't get that annoyed with fights and I understand that there are first time jitters in the UFC and can cause a lackluster performance. With that said, you just don't celebrate like you got a finish after you put up one of the most boring fights in recent memory and had the whole crowd damn near asleep. JESUS , I was so annoyed by his fighting style. Rogan had it right when he said it was the most exciting part of the fight ( his celebration) and mentioned the look on Leben face but the camera wouldn't show his reaction. Is there a different angle that shows Leben's reaction?

dude had a shitty year and won his first UFC fight on 2 weeks notice
 
that was absolutely ridiculous...this guy has to slap himself for that, and he probably did
 
wasn't aware that he took it on 2 weeks notice and it somewhat justifies the performance. But I'm referring to him celebrating like he got a knockout or something.

Annoyed, no. I was concerned, concerned that he had a seizure.
 
He won the biggest fight of his career against a name guy after having a shit year for a lesser company and won it on only two weeks notice. Cut the guy some slack.

Yeah that's fine but it wasn't all that classy, Leben was going to shake his hand and then he does "that", fucking silly I reckon.
 
He deserves to be happy. It's hard work to win a UFC fight.

Doesn't mean most people will ever look forward to his fights.
 
No, because it was by far the most entertaining moment of that fight.

I didn't catch that. Not trying to be funny, but it was late, and I was literally fighting off sleep in that fight.

ill give him a pass considering the circumstances.

a little silly sure, but whatever, didn't annoy me at all like it did for the TS

end thread, 8 days notice and he got the biggest win of his career.

Plus he actually looked good in the first round. If he had a longer training camp he might of finished Leben.

Give him break for being emotional? Sure. Give him break for celebrating like he had a highlight reel knockout? No
 
Not annoyed but it did look crazy. You never know what reaction you will have in those situations. He was over joyed and relieved that he survived and actually won the damn thing.
 
I was annoyed but then I heard he took the fight on a weeks notice and it was his debut in teh big show.
 
Ya I agree. Looked stupid celebrating like he just got a KO or something.
