Hell yeah! BFFs

Gonna read some more now, was playing a game but you got my juices flowin' (no homo)

i feel like we should be getting storys on what the unknown primarches are

Lots of cool stuff from Warhamer Fest [LINK]. Some of the things I thought were interesting:

Alternate tank build for Primaris
Fest2019-Sat12-Executioner1tjs.jpg

Mechanicus/Skitari get a hovercraft style transport/tank dual kit
Fest2019-Sat12-Dunerider1kjcw.jpg

Fest2019-Sat12-Disintegrator1jc.jpg

Chaos gets their very own knight kit. The thing is not just a conversion sprue. If you compare it to the existing kit virtually every piece is different. The legs especially are structurally different, not just added spikes.

Warlord Update:
I now have almost all of the parts that needed to be split and printed in multiple pieces epoxied together. I also have almost everything fitted with the exception of the shoulders which are going to need a bunch of sanding on their mating surfaces. My next big step to to get the torso pieces sanded/filled/prepped for paint so that I can epoxy that whole chunk together. It's about a dozen pieces so it'll be a bit fiddly to get together and will need multiple steps because there's basically three layers: the base, the lower walls, and the upper walls. Anyways, have some pictures of dry-fit assemblies!

This is about the worst possible angle for this picture but it was the best I could manage while holding it in place.

Oh, and if anybody cares I'm not going to be cross-posting model reveals to this thread any more. I thought it was a good way to keep the thread going but they almost never generate discussion so I'm not wasting my time on it anymore. This weekend we got a look at a bunch of new kits. Zero replies. Zero likes. Why bother?

How long did those take to print?

How long did those take to print?
Long ass time. Start-to-finish was like three months. Followed by a month of priming, fitting, and gluing to get me where I am now. Machine time for the prints was hundreds of hours. I have no easy way of estimating it and didn't keep track but a full plate's worth of parts would routinely run 8-14 hours and there were dozens of them. Total cost has been around $300 for materials + electricity so I've saved a solid grand off the FW version and have what will be a unique one-of-a-kind piece.

I pay attention Godamnit.

I think a new warhammer thread is in order. People see 71 pages and don't want to read through it you know?

The admech hovercraft looks lulzy. If the tank commander looks like he's standing in a trash can.

so i've been on a roll on audible listening to audiobooks, i went through Dante and The Devastation of Baal which are both set on the dark imperium after Roboute came back, man im having a blast because there is alot of lore for example when Dante in "The Devastation of Baal" is preparing to make his last stand against the hive fleet he meets with Sanguinius and the indomitous crusade comes to Baal and reinforces almost all decimated chapters of the blood AND the biggest game changer, Roboute names Dante lord commander of basically half of the imperium since it has been split in 2 by the great rift, im really enjoying this direction the lore is taking

last one i listened was "the blood of IAX" a pretty good story about ultramarines fighting orks, didnt dive too much in depth about the status of the imperium but it was a good story about primaris ultramarines

Speaking of 3d printing:

I got to play around with a 3d printer this weekend (a Flashforge Finder 2.0). A relative had bought one.
It was dead easy to use. Like using a regular printer, basically.
I even drew a simple model of my own in Sketchup, converted it to .stl and printed it, without problem. Took me
like 30 mins to draw, and another 2 hours to print.
Not saying I can make warlord titans of my own like @JBSchroeds , but I'll definitely be trying my hand at smaller projects.

The surface Looks a bit uneven, but it's mostly because the photo is a closeup. The model is about the height of an ordinary 28 mm model.
