Warhammer 40k

Now that The Primarchs are coming back, I see the end game, all hope will be lost, and the primarchs sacrifice themselves to resurrect the Emperor, who defeats his evil sons with his custodes and then prepare for a new era
Nope the end times was a way to crash a no longer profitable franchise
Unlike warhammer its spinoff 40k is still earning dolla
Plus the retardrd former head of gw is gone , his attitude was that the company made models period and everything else is extra...... the new guy understands buisness is buisness and they have a rich lore to milk for various cash streams!

remember the orimarch returning doesnt mean the other factions have to roll over and die they have deus ex machina in their lore too!

I'm kinda meh about it.
They already exist in the 30k setting, both in the literature and on the tabletop.
There are a couple of primarchs I wouldn't mind reintroducing in 40k, but more than 2-3 would make the setting crowded, at least on the loyalist side.
(all the chaos primarchs are welcome, and would make Abaddon superfluous. Which is fine by me, I never really bought him as the bbeg of the setting).
I can see how it made sense to reintroduce Guiliman as a catalyst for advancing the plot, but I don't really see the point of reintroducing anyone else except for some sort of apocalyptic event similar to End Times.

Yeah to be fair though its always near the endtimes ...they can ramp up the threat to mankind to compensate for the primarchs return , that and half the imperium needs to be reconquered

Well, yeah. From what I remember of the lore, none of them are actually dead except Horus*.

But normally they've been depicted as so far removed from day-to-day operations as to almost be absent from the setting. Ascended to daemonhood, meditating in giant palaces for hundreds of years on end, and so forth.
Fluff-wise they could all be put back into more "active duty" and it wouldn't complicate the setting one bit, if you ask me. There are already more greater daemons and other primarch-level villains around than you can shake a stick at. Lorgar et al would fit right in.

I remember quite a few of the evil primarchs had models & rules in Epic, way back in the day. But as far as I know the 28mm game never made any of them actually playable until very recently. I think Magnus and Mortarion have been made playable in the 40k setting so far, right? Or are there more?

*edit: and mr Kurze. He dead.

Magnus, Guilliamane and Mortarion are the only current playable primarchs yes

Vulkan and Wolves primarch would be pure sex

Vulkan due to all the cool shit he creates and the chapter is super under rated.

New Abaddon model. Stunning.

Warhammer doesn’t play out over a year, I said I see the endgame, not that the endgame is here. This is there cash cow afterall

Cool horus heresy solar war book out just after battle of beta gammon where solar siege can now begin

Lotta interesting stuff but mainly horus and emps on astral plane talking
Emps chooses to appear as old man keeping a campfire going ...to protect from shadows drawing in
Horus ends the symbolic discussion basicaly taking part of the fire and crushing it out in his hands , tells emps he never had the strength to lead......and to get ready hes comming !!!!! :)

The next novels will be soo interesting now we've waited sooo long
Russ is injured after going toe to toe with chaos horus ..interesting that he conversed with a minor demon in fenris underverse prior and got stabbed with emps spear leaving him with an as yet unkown truth of his creation...may tie in to where he went

New motarion mini novel again recons some stuff , details why he trusted typhus soo much
Also controversial new retcon has typhus being born of xenos overlords of barbrus raping his mum...how the hell that works or escaped space marine creation /gene selection etc is unknown

The primarch mini stories collection also has people talking about lions return
Seems near end of rangdan xenocide war alpha legion appeared en masse and said they would takeover to allow 1st legion to withdraw and recoop manpower
That they knew position of warmaster would inevitably come about and felt it should be the lion (pre their own primarchs reported discovery ....if thats even that dates true)
Felt that guilliman was probably gonna get the role as he had the biggest legion now , that the lion knew the importance of 'keeping secrets and promises' so would be better suited thus needed to boost his legion ( both legion thrive in secrecy so may be why they wanted the lion in charge)
The lions response takes him back to thinking about his demon infested caliban wood days with epic quote about temptation 'the offers always change .....the awnser remains the same '
He turns it down of course despite being tempted..... as we know he as well as others felt he was one of the main frontrunners for the spot horus eventualy got

The idea a few on forums are posting is this forshadows him returning near future in the lore as now guiliman is kinda the new 'warmaster' , imperium secundus all over again maybe? This time no sanguinius to settle them down uf shit gets heated
A guilliman caling himself a son of a god etc

I just read the one where he forms the imperious seconds. Lion was on board

There's a not insignificant portion of the MAGA crowd who use the imagery with a completely straight face. They either don't know, don't care, or are just too stupid to understand that the Imperium of Man is an authoritarian hellscape and that the Emperor is a rotting corpse who spends his days shitting into a high-tech colostomy bag.
I've seen quite a few share that kind of stuff on Facebook that I know aren't aware of 40k's existence.
