I'm surprised nobody made the next thread after the last one got locked. So here we go!
What is it?
Warhammer, in both 40k and Fantasy flavors, is a tabletop war game produced by the British company Games Workshop. Each player fields their own army made up of a collection of miniature models from a wide range of factions. The models are molded in any combination of metal, resin, or plastic (with plastic being the most common). The hobby is also more than just the game; many people just enjoy the painting and sculpting aspects. There is also a wide range of companion products, including videogames, books, audio dramas, pen and paper RPGs, etc.
Cool, I want to know more
The first step is probably just go to the Games Workshop website [link] and check out the model ranges for the different armies. When you see something that tickles your fancy you can go to one of the wikis (linked in pictures above) and read more about them.
