I'm surprised nobody made the next thread after the last one got locked. So here we go!

What is it?
Warhammer, in both 40k and Fantasy flavors, is a tabletop war game produced by the British company Games Workshop. Each player fields their own army made up of a collection of miniature models from a wide range of factions. The models are molded in any combination of metal, resin, or plastic (with plastic being the most common). The hobby is also more than just the game; many people just enjoy the painting and sculpting aspects. There is also a wide range of companion products, including videogames, books, audio dramas, pen and paper RPGs, etc.

Cool, I want to know more
The first step is probably just go to the Games Workshop website [link] and check out the model ranges for the different armies. When you see something that tickles your fancy you can go to one of the wikis (linked in pictures above) and read more about them.

I don't care what anyone says, sigmar was one of the lost primarchs.

Did anyone get into the Mordhiem alpha test? It's a skirmash video game, think something like x-com. it's based off of the board game. I've never played the board game, but the video game looks interesting.

^ I didn't even know about it until just recently (it's now on my steam wishlist). Hopefully it turns out to be good; WH games in general tend to be a mixed bag, but I like the looks of this one.

A new blood bowl video game is getting made too, but it's once again going to be light on the teams. I'll just wait for the expansion with all 20-something teams.

Never played the tabletop but I love DoW and the books.

Gideon ravenor is my spirit animal.

Just finished End Times: Curse of Khaine, man they really went ham on this one.
Should we expect a new book coming in the coming months?

End Times Skaven is supposed to be the next one.

I haven't read it, but I guess there's a part that could be interpreted as Kaldor Draigo for the first 40k/Fantasy crossover in a while.

KONRAD CURZE, PRIMARCH OF THE NIGHT LORDS

Konrad-Curze-10.jpg

Attacking from darkness with inhuman ferocity, Konrad Curze, the Night Haunter, inspires terror in the hearts of his prey and subjects alike. A vicious combatant, Konrad wrested control of his world, Nostramo, from criminals and corrupt overlords, and began a reign of terror that ensured order through fear. After taking command as their Primarch, his Legion, the Night Lords, gained a reputation for brutality and looked to bring judgment rather than deliverance to worlds reclaimed for the Emperor during the Great Crusade.

Armed with murderous, artificer-lightning claws and micro-serrated throwing blades, Konrad Curze tears through his enemies, making short work of whole units. Despite his great size he is a master of stealth and concealment, moving in darkness and stalking his target. Few men can stand to face him, and none can look on the Night Haunter and not feel the ice of fear in their hearts.

This imposing, highly detailed model depicts Konrad Curze mid-battle. His armour is decorated with trophies of an impressive number of kills, including skulls and flayed skin. His scenic display base includes the corpses of Konrad

He looks like a rat

Batman should look more like a bat

Loving 30k, we need epic 30k video games on all platforms. The hugeness of the story line is priceless, they could make a new game or suppliment every year. Ravenor and Eisenhorn could each have a ton of games. Build a warband and go do Inquisitor things

Each one's got his own head and weapon combination, and they are the size of Nagash. I don't play Skaven, but I think these are pretty good looking models.
