Agreed, but my point is that the media shouldn't still be having problems like this in the Trump era. They're doing themselves a disservice as well as the concept and trust associated with a free press.
Ah'.
It's a good show that just wore me out for some reason. I watched the first three seasons, and was like "Okay, I've had my fill", and just totally abandoned it for no particular reason. Had the same thing happen with "Mad Men".
Yeah, getting the guy is good. I don't think anyone is disputing that or tying it to their opinion about Trump either way. In terms of his supporters getting in a tizzy, that happens on every day that ends in a "y," and needs little justification.
That's a small section of the crowd, amplified by the person filming it in close proximity.
It's a jaded pro-wrestling fan trick, where folks record a section chanting some shit against the WWE, and claim the whole arena was chanting it. Meh.
You've stumbled upon something used very easily nowadays through universally common media technology. That's a small section of the crowd, amplified by the person filming it in close proximity.

Yeah, the guy bringing quotes into the Safe Space Lounge for support, is totally not rustled...LOL
Accept that bet yet? I thought not.
This relates to a problem I've been thinking about, inspired by Martin Gurri's "the Revolt of the Public." No one is perfect, and these days, no one's imperfection is secret, either. So it's very easy to discredit any individual or institution you want to discredit among people who don't have a good handle on things. What's the solution there? Obviously striving for perfection is good, but it's an impossible goal. The solution has to come from a better-educated public that manages to avoid blind distrust and develop a healthy respect for expetise and institutions while still recognizing *reasonable* limits to that.
Throughout history, there are many examples of groups being isolation from broader society and regressing technologically as a result (classic example is Tasmanians after the flooding of the Bass Strait). I think distrust and fear are leading to a kind of mental isolation of the right (or CT community more broadly) that is having bad consequences already (slow action on climate change, bad economic policy, for example--both a result of being cut off from major bodies of knowledge) and is likely to have more.
Going to this specifically, it's just weird. It's not a Trump story (his rambling, cringeworthy speech is somewhat related, I guess) and it's not a minimization. Also fixed shortly after it went up, and being mocked by liberals more than anyone else.
Not so sure about that
I've had a few people get butthurt at me for quoting them in here.Is that not literally what the lounge is for? What a dumbass.
Also, what is it with you simps and betting? @SBJJ is far too deep in his racial animus to explain his emasculation, but maybe you can help. Politely, of course CANuck.

Wanna avoid cards? This is how you avoid cards lol
Of course perfection is impossible, but journalistic integrity isn't. Attacking the media has been one of the pillars upon which Trump has built his cult. Correcting themselves and treading carefully should be a no brainer, but obviously isn't. This particular story by itself is just humiliating, but in the context of the last 3 years should not just be blown off as not-Trump related. When you hear people rightfully saying 'Trump is a symptom not the underlining problem', realize that this is part of the cause.
Righties: "THERE'S A RIGHT WING BIAS IN SHERDOG MODERATION!"
Look before you hit "post reply", genius.

The story was fine. Bad headline that was fixed, though. I don't think it's Trump-related at all, but I guess we can agree to disagree there.
I absolutely see Trump as a symptom of the problems that I mentioned. The right is intellectually dead and people don't trust legitimate sources of information.
Hey buddy, you got your vagina all in twisties.

It makes no sense
