Could be a generational thing. My brother is a decade older than me and he’d watch each one that came out. It’s all poop jokes and yelling in odd voices. Good for him making a log career out of it but it does seem odd.

I guess I'm part of your brother's generation. I think the secret to his success was his appeal to a certain demographic at the time(and perhaps even today). He was funny when you were 14-18 years old at that time. It's funny, because people seem to struggle with his "decline" so to speak, and can't quite place their finger on it.

Tbf I enjoyed this a lot when I was about 14, 15. Nowadays I don't even watch comedy stuff, like at all. Time is too limited (what's left after work, family, and spending too much time on here).

I laughed. But I disagree. He was the lead in at least two semi-blockbuster comedies (The Animal and The Hot Girl) and was a prominent supporting character in all of Sandler's hits.

Everything I've ever heard about him personally makes me think he's an enormous douche, but I think he's pretty darn funny as a character actor. He was the best part of 50 First Dates and Big Daddy. He's just not funny when he takes himself seriously, like in his current show.

Not only does it provide a morsel of validation to Trump and his cult (one they will find a way to sustain themselves on for eternity), it lends credibility to Trump's war on the free press, again something Trump can use to continue to divide the country. This irresponsible gaslighting coupled with the stage 4 cognitive dissonance of the Trump cultists is a serious problem.

I think the Twitter hashtag illustrates the problem pretty well. Of course the headline isn't wrong, strictly speaking, but it's not what the guy was known for and what's relevant about him and his death.
