Anyone who knows anything about the Balkan wars and thinks the Serbs were defending themselves is either brainwashed or malevolent.

Then again, there’s a lot of people who think the Germans were just defending their country, too.

Gotta feed the addiction, although I'm not even the worst afflicted in my circle of riding mates. One of the guys is really into 60s and 70s bikes, only started his collection four years ago as a "born again biker", and already has more bikes (and more projects) than me. Seems to run in the family, because his Dad has quite the collection as well.

There certainly is here. Weirdly, given the global reputation for terrible things happening to hitchhikers in Australia. Usually in pairs though, with backpacks, and apparently they don't like the idea of 3-up on a bike SE Asian style (although I can dinky with the best of them).

There are unironically many sides (for instance the Croats were bastards from the get go) but there really isn't an historically coherent narrative where Serb nationalists went in looking to protect Bosnian Serbs. Mladic was pretty open about his intentions - up until he started building his case of deniability.

I can't remember the name of the poster and I'm on mobile, but you can probably find it. It was a thread by a Muslim poster memorializing an event in the genocide maybe a year or 18 months ago.
