I thought so too. And I won't pretend like I never get pissed. Once you get pretty good you have higher expectations and when you play bad it's frustrating. But as a super competitive type I just find golf different.
I grew up and live in NY so a "fuck per hole" is actually a good pace.
I think there's something to it. Beautiful course, great weather, quiet, etc.. It's definitely uplifting.
And yeah, I hear ya on that point as well. Baseball became a serious, competitive thing for me. Play well and win and that was expected, and focus on the negatives. Lose and be miserable.
I do love competition though.
