I did not say that Dems are the "real" racists, nor was I suggesting that Repubs aren't racist. You are the one putting those words in my mouth, which is a dishonest habit of yours. The Dems certainly have historically done many racist things, which should be acknowledged. Isn't acknowledging our racist past the reason for the NYT's 1619 project? So why are the Dems always given a pass when they are at the thick of some of the most egregious racists moments in our history. Using false rape accusations to lynch blacks was a common tactic in Dem heavy areas during the Jim Crow era. Are you factually disputing that? That's why, to use an example from literature, To Kill a Mockingbird was about the intersection of racism and false rape accusations. It's why Clarence Thomas remarked when he was being falsely accused of sexual misconduct that it was a high tech lynching.

In this era of 'believe all women', why should we ignore the very ugly and racist history of that kind of thought in the US? If there is an erosion of the presumption of innocence, it isn't judges who went to Yale who are going to suffer most from it. It's going to be inner city blacks and other disadvantaged demographic groups. But the left is content to directly attack the presumption of innocence in the context of such accusations for political gain. It is utterly cynical, and you supported it anyway.

woof, that Somali thread is as toxic as a Fukushima urinal cake

Can you elaborate, please?

1. I did not do any such thing. I noted a pattern by a party. It's a tool that's been in the tool box for a long time.

You really think there is a "tool box" that has endured from the party of the Confederacy to the party that hasn't won in the South for half a century? That those two things could in any way be related and that these women in Kavanaugh's past spontaneously thought "AHA! we do what the racial lynchers in the South did and accuse him of baseless acts of rape in order to lynch him!" And do you expect us to believe that you believe Republicans draw on the traditions and strategies of Northern abolitionists?

No, you don't. And your intentions were pretty transparent.

Also, why do you guys take these discussions out of the threads they are being discussed in and bring them into the Lounge? Is it a safe space thing?

It's an off-topic thread. JVS was having a discussion about, I guess, your particular brand of sleaze, saw that as an example, and didn't want to derail what was certainly already a very philosophically dense discussion in that thread.

Now this is just defamatory, fam.
Well, the first insult was a subtle dig at @Trotsky. I think you're quite smart, honestly.

The rest was because you sounded like a made up white supremacist's supervillian in that post

There should be a permanent edition of "look at what this member of a minority did".
We could have several threads
Look what someone did today; Muslim Edition
Look what someone did today; Racist White Guy Edition
Look what someone did today; WPEM Edition

Its honestly sad to see you not only compare the history of false accusations against black men in the south which was used to justify their lynchings to the Ford accusation but then to try and make a connection between modern Dems and the Dixiecrats of the past. If you really want to be more accurate that history belongs to Southern white racists and we know which party they vote for in the 21st century.

But as I said earlier I think you're being intentionally dishonest with the point about the Dems just to create the quagmire necessary to correct it. Kind of a slimy tactic, I thought you were above that but I guess not.

I really only took issue with the curls in the squat rack part tbh. Though I'm sure I do curl what some other posters squat.

Lol. In the context of the Dems constantly trotting out obviously false rape accusations, and the NYT omitting that their current story is not substantiated by the alleged victim, this is what disappoints you as slimy? I can live with that.

Btw notice who your bedfellows in that thread on the Somali refugees are. Two so far have not only implied that they're racist but that racism is the logical position to hold as a white person. Do you see why leftists avoid those threads? Those are the type of people we're avoiding, people who are already lost causes. I call you out all the time, sometimes in a cunty way, but I do so because I don't think you're a lost cause.

I’ve made this exact point quite a few times. Sometimes I enter a thread with the intent to comment on the story but the posts are so nasty that I just leave the thread. I’m not going to interject a thoughtful post into some weird racist circle jerk, what a waste of time that would be.

I'd think that you'd be capable of seeing the flaw in EC's views here. I think that tribalism maybe prevents you from acknowledging it. Or is there another reason?
I haven't been following your back-and-forth with him, but I do gather that you've been asserting that your definitions of terms like "conservative movement" are the Only and True ones. That's been a bad habit of yours for a long time and you should work on it.

Ah, more projection from the resident welcher, the newest addition to the "latch on to a catch all term as a crutch" team; pseudo-intellectual may now join leftist, globalist, and socialist, in the lexicon of Crutches for the Rhetorically Challenged. Congratulations. I'm sure Breitbart would be very proud of your contribution. You should apply to be the new Milo.
Nah, pseudo-intellectual describes people like you who attempt to project intellectual superiority while simultaneously lacking the ability to solve even basic probability and other math questions. I see right through you, Mr. Crazy.

was gonna post in the somali thread because at least in the UK, wherever somalis go, the young lads get stabby and cause trouble. no trouble from ghanians, nigerians or other africans (of which half my family come from, sierra leone represent) don't know what it is about somalis specifally but it's pretty common here.

but, i think i'd rather not post in that thread and haves those kind of guys liking my post for their own nefarious reasons
If it makes you feel better, when a young Somali here in Canada tried to be a good Samaritan, the police wouldn't believe him when he said he'd been shot (despite the wound and similar claims by witnesses) and they let him die.
