Fair point yeah. I've never been to a major museum as an adult but prefer the natural history stuff to paintings. I geek out pretty hard for anthro stuff especially. Like in an art museum you'll usually find votive statues, old decorative weapons/armor. Anything that links art with history is my favorite part of art museums.
I really want to go to the museum they talk about in this:

Old artifacts like that are cool as fuck for me.

Easiest treat bribery situation ever imo. Everything gets so much easier when you just bribe them and stop trying to impose your will. Save that for serious situations imo. I learned that the hard way.

That too. He probably hated stumbling down into that foyer like that.
It's partially the one thing that makes big dog breeds actually poor guard dogs. Burglar knows you have one they'll show up with a steak. Hand that thing to the dog and the dog will go munch away and help the burglar steal your TV.

First of all, I accepted your data without looking at it based upon your statement about a small difference, but then I looked at the graphic and it doesn't appear to be at all relevant to me.
Its a 9% difference, not yuge but not nothing. And all I had said earlier is that conservatives are more likely to value the extended family which was backed up by the data, 9% more likely.
And no, the tweets didn't say that. They said liberals are to blame. I presented a counter argument that ideology is irrelevant except as snake oil to bilk the masses.
I just reread the twitter thread and I do not see where he blamed liberals. The only time he references liberalism is here

where he's using it interchangeably with capitalism and is thus clearly referring to liberalism as an economic system.
this is angering me
I mean I do want to live near a theater but I mean a movie theater, definitely not the other kind.

My dad has one of these. Hes a big, aloof goofy bastard. But just the sheer size of those guys is intimidating.

They grow up to be bears basically but are such chickens about little things as puppy's it's hilarious.

I think that varies from dog to dog quite a bit. Charlie would have murdered a stranger faster so he could get to the steak. He really belonged guarding a farm like his sire, and not a suburban yard. But if a burglar really wanted to do it right he could have visited him a few times with treats and probably trained him to let him in.

Weaponry in museums is so awesome because it gets you thinking about history in a different way. Like it becomes so much more real.

Agreed.

Fort Lewis has a military museum just off base I went to with my dad once and they legit had shit that had seen combat in like WWI there.

Yea, I get that. It's hard to know how that should be handled. Like I avoid all Showtime dramas now from what I read about Dexter. I don't boycott any other networks but probably would avoid series by certain writers/producers if they disappointed me in the past.
What happened with Showtime and Dexter? I have never watched much of Dexter but I think Jennifer Carpenter is incredibly attractive and that alone has made me want to watch the series. Not enough to actually watch it but still...
Wasn't the ending like, super freaking implausible to the degree that it pulled you out of the plot a bit? I mean we go from plausible to "should be swarming with federal agents for a variety of serious reasons" pretty quickly.
I've thought about that as well, not even just at the end of season 2. If someone like Marty existed I wonder if you could convict them just on the circumstantial evidence. He seems to always be at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Until this last season of Game of Thrones Dexter was the benchmark for a great series that fell apart in the later seasons.

A family friend when I was in my teens had a, uh, legally dubious collection of war memorabilia going back to WW1 (comprehensively) and some older stuff in a warehouse on his property. It was easily enough to kit out a good chunk of a museum exhibit. Never seen anything like that since. Fan of Germany in certain eras, you might say. You could really imagine the mindset, between all the weapons, uniforms and propaganda. Like you could put yourself in the shoes of the soldier gearing up in this or that equipment. It's hard to put into words, it's just a feel. The further you go back the stronger that contrast is. Pretty cool shit.

Nah this is just blatant being a dumbfuck... claiming Kosovo isn't a part of Europe when it's literally a hop from German to the Czech Republic, then Slovakia, then Hungary and now you could have Aaron Rodgers throw a pass to Davante Adams over the border in Kosovo.

Like there's "that opinion is dumb" or "the argument to get to your opinion is dumb" level dumb then there's the geography version of this:

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is such an underrated movie.

I've been busy lately, how did Cubo catch dubs?

There's always been a small part of me that would love to collect like old WWII era bayonets and Lugers and medals then I'm like "oh yeah, they all have a Swastika stamped someplace... imagine I die and someone finds that shit sitting in a gun safe because I just wanted it locked away where no one could steal it."

You check out The Boys? It is blowing up Mayberry. I found it good, not as good as they seem too, but it is a solid show
Binged it over the weekend.
Mostly pretty good. Non-spoiler thoughts:

The acting was pretty good, especially Huey and the members of The Seven. The rest of The Boys were a little weak in the roles. I was not a fan of Karl Urban's heavy accent.
There are some pretty big differences between the comic and the series in case people were wondering.
The series ends a cliff hanger that will be interesting to resolve next season.
Elisabeth Shue can still get it.
The X-Ray feature in Prime needs to be talked about more.

There's some really great museums in Vienna. I was stupid and went to the art museum, where they had Klimts and Schiellers and Warhols and Picassos. My girlfriend decided to make the correct choice and went to the military museum where the car and uniform in which Archduke Ferdinand was assassinated were on display, the uniform being laid out on the couch on which he died.

Feels bad man, now I have to go back to Vienna. We also missed the Gutenberg bible (well, one of them) by a week.

Now you have a reason to go back.

I need to go to Europe.
